This is still a decent rig. Get a GTX 1060 or RX 480 and you're good to go.

This is still decent setup. As previous poster said, just upgrade the GPU to GTX1060 or RX480 and it is all good. In addition if you have a bit more budget, it doesn't hurt to upgrade that PSU to a 650w gold PSU since if you want to do full upgrade later u have already a good PSU.

If your priority is gaming, then GPU first.

Frankly, I would just buy a new PC and use this as a media player center (for TV) and for some light gaming.

Same here - the i3 is still a capable CPU. wink.gif

Though I'll recommend TS to upgrade the CPU at a later time. icon_idea.gif

no OC, all at stock speed.

I already upgraded to E5450. Quadcore proc. Paired with SSD. I think can serve me well for the next 2 years IF teh GC or RAM didnt go kaput. nod.gif

If you are playing on 1080p:

1. GPU - MSI GTX 1060 6GB RM1,300
2. SSD - KINGSTON UV400 240GB for RM334
3. PSU - Can continue to use the CM 500 (no upgrade is necessary)

Prices from Compu-Zone's price list dated 9 December 2016

I doubt upgrading new RAM will change much.

Further, CSGO isn't that demanding from memory.

Better off spending on GPU. Perhaps GTX1050ti or AMD RX470 should be sufficient.

I doubt your motherboard will last another 5 years. Most of my motherboard lasted at most 6-8 years.

I don't think you need 144hz monitor also.
