EXCLUSIVE: Misuari: MNLF not spent force; 'If I launch war now, I can destroy gov't'
Misuari told CNN Philippines on Monday that the government at the time only wanted to link him to the violence.
"They think I'm a spent force. They are stupid, They're crazy. They're mad. They are deceiving themselves," he said.
"If I launch a war now, I tell you I can destroy the government. But no I don't like, kasi ayaw ko. According to the Holy Koran, if you kill one human being without a cause, it is as though you killed the whole of humanity."

Doesn't need to be. Metal-hulled ships can function fine as mine countermeasures ship. Just need degaussing device to nullify the magnetic field of the hull.
Also, need to be specific. Will the module convert the ship to be a minesweeper or minehunter? Very large difference between both.
looks like it can be tasked with mine warfare
new things to note it also can do hydrographic survey? possibly also replacing the current navy hydrographic survey ships

hydrographic survey use civi grade ships ler...
the purpose of the lms is to reduce the types of ships targeted by the 15-to-5 programme replacing the current hydrographic ship with a civi grade ship would totally defeat that purpose
beside it will be just another add-on modular mission modules more efficient than getting an extra type of civi grade ship into the service

2 Indonesians enlisted in Singapore army
Two Indonesian citizens who hold permanent resident status in Singapore were deported to the neighboring country after their status was discovered during joint military training between the two countries in Magelang, Central Java.
The military officials, identified only by the initials CJH and AJ, were removed from the training program after the discovery as the 2006 Citizenship Law bans Indonesian citizens from enlisting in foreign military forces or joining a country that is moving toward or already at war with Indonesia.
Indonesian Military (TNI) spokesman Maj. Gen. M. Fuad Basya said the two officers were immediately deported after the TNI reported the findings to the Foreign Ministry, the Law and Human Rights Ministry and the Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Ministry.
But he refused to comment on whether the government should revoke the citizenship of the two officers.
'The TNI will let the Law and Human Rights Ministry decide their fate,' said Fuad on Wednesday as quoted by viva.co.id. (***)

I dunno, if atreyu can explain why we do not use them if they are "lying around"...?
Wild-ass guess here: perhaps they have an operational lifespan, if we take them out of store and install that means they start to depreciate already, in a few years will need to buy replacement?
exocet mm38 have long been out-of-production but many navies still can be seen carrying it around maybe mbda give really great support? periodic replacement? meh who knows?
