Refer to page 1, post #2, RM455 around there. Else try asking an outside workshop if they can do it.

Sorry, I think I've said the wrong thing. I see from the service book. there put a "R" = replace for transmission oil. Do we use whole bottle of transmission oil? no right? Do they do the CVT service or just change the oil?

What do you mean do the CVT service?

The CVT service is exactly like in post #2, replace 4 bottles (litres) of cvt oil and the cvt filter.

Not only change the transmission oil?

Hi all, can someone advise on below

- I have one SAGA SV 4.5 YEARS car
- two weeks ago went to proton authorized sc service
- after two weeks, my car suddenly become very shaky
- when the car at idle, want to move the car, rpm needs to up until 3 only can move from 0-20km/h
- when up hill, the car totally cant move up even rpm more than 3
- when the car at 80km/h, its become seriously shaky and hardly move above
- try to drive faster then become even shakier which is dangerous

Any idea what is happening? Why happened out sudden?

Better get that checked at SC.

Last time I've experience something similar was due to defective timing belt.

Not sure what problem your car is having

My car is almost five years, possible to change timing belt, how much is the timing belt ya?

It would around rm600 ish for everything related at Proton SC.

It is recommended to replace timing belt every 100k km or 5 years, whichever comes first.

Hopefully its not something major, but I doubt that proton saga sv will last more than 10 years

If your car is a manual maybe your clutch pad is due for replacement...clutch pad "finished", just like brake pad..
If your car is a CVT, something not good, brace yourself for something not small....
From my experience for aftermarket parts, i prefer TRW over Mintye...lol

Tested, TRW better over Mintye...series/model not sure, fit saga

Yes bro, when i step on the peddle, the car jerking and slow pick up

The car itself or just the timing belt? Definitely lots of BLMs older than 10 years nowadays (including mine).

BLM more than 10 years - Yes, there is one in my house but in MT or AT. My concern is the CVT verison of FLX

few missing info about your car is missing.
mileage? - 60K
cvt or manual?  CVT FLX SV
which proton sc you previously visit? - Authorized Proton in Penang
what is the last minor/major service for you car? 50K major service last year, two weeks ago minor service
fuel filter got change? - Yes
timing belt change? - So far no
FEAD belt change? - So far no
coolant change? - Yes

btw i suggest you to visit proton sc to check.
fyi most owners will change to outside workshop rather than sending to sc. so i would suggest to go to 'bawah pokok' shop to check. at least if you can give us your house / office location, maybe we can suggest you a reliable workshop for you to check.

i am very sorry to hear that because of your problems, you now feel that your car @ proton sv is not a good car. actually proton saga since blm is a very good car, just that because it is a proton.

if you want, i can suggest to you my favourite workshop around keramat au3. (also go branch in pandan indah, seri kembangan, wangsa maju) i call it my private car clinic. from normal service to aircond service to tyre service. all have  thumbup.gif previously i can some recommended workshop that our friends here suggested, but this 'car clinic is my all time favourite.

if you are around shah alam/bangi area, the best bet i can give you is to visit zordaq motorsport.

actually if you read from previous threads, cvt version of flx is ok. the problem is the the effectiveness of the SC you are visiting. too bad, not many SC are good at repairs. you can rely on normal services, but when talking about repairs, not many.

iinm, one way to solve the jerking issue is by updating firmware.

and also, driving a wet clutch cvt like flx cvt is different from driving a torque converter cvt or a 4AT GB car

for penang area, you have to look-up for penang drivers in here to help you find a reliable proton sc or bawah pokok shop.

Yes many ppl suggest me to sell off while it had value, two more years then its even lower value, proton cvt is not worth to keep like wira or iswara lastime. Sad case

My car (FLX 1.6 SE) make creaking sound when turning left, especially during climbing a slope. I have changed the driveshaft and tie rod end both sides, but the sound persist.

Steering wheel was vibrating too during slow acceleration. Alignment has been done. Frequently the tire toe badly each time send for alignment.

What could be the culprit?

Yup, that is expensive alright. I can find a workshop that charges 350 for timing belt AND labour. Do it outside, if you want it cheaper.
