QUOTE(dino_rongak @ Sep 30 2016, 08:53 PM) Does anyone know how much would the absorber and coil would cost for flx? And usually how long would they last? The mechanic near my house said usually absorber can go till 100k km before it fails, but just to be sure if he didn't BS me P/s: I'm quite a noob with car... There is a parts price list in the first post of this thread, you can check there. Absorber durability depends on your daily driving road conditions. And your luck. Some tahan lama some not so much, no fixed interval.

QUOTE(dino_rongak @ Oct 1 2016, 11:37 PM) Thanks mate. Didn't realize it was there. I assume the price listed are Proton official price? Another question that I have is, I noticed the steering vibrates a lot on idle. Does anyone have the same problem or knows how to solve it? Yes that is Proton price list. That price list was from a few years ago, expect the price to be slightly higher now. Vibration during idling are usually due to worn engine mounting.

QUOTE(mactreouser @ Oct 26 2016, 11:41 PM) Hi all, FLX user here. Recently Brake Light on Left Side not working, in fact, signal lights, reverse lights and tail lights are functioning well, as well as Right Brake Light. Is this means I have to Replace the whole unit? Any experiences from you? Whether fuse or wiring and other possibilities? I refered him to ask here from the FnF main forums, from what I understand his problem is: - When his headlamps are switched on, the tail lamps with the LEDs also switched on and works normally. - Problem is when he press the brakes, those LEDs on the left tail lamp won't become brighter to indicate braking. The right tail lamp and third brake light works normally. - If the headlamps/tail lamps are not switched on eg. daytime driving, the left tail lamp LEDs won't lit up at all during braking.

QUOTE(mactreouser @ Oct 27 2016, 12:47 AM) Bro, you are awesome, that's actually what I'm facing recently! Thanks a lot for clarifying that issue. According to r3apers, he had the same problem before - Circuit board rosak, whole tail lamp need to change, unless you are good with electronics or know someone who is, then can dismantle and repair it. http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Saga+2+FLX+2011...MT-46224937.htmlink courtesy of v12kompressorThis post has been edited by dares: Oct 27 2016, 08:31 AM

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Nov 3 2016, 04:29 AM) Sorry to say, i only saw Proton LED tail lamp malfunctioned, mostly Exora and Persona, always saw dim LED tail lamp, never saw once happen in MYVI (they use LED tail lamp since 1st gen Myvi). Honest one, not because want to bash Proton. LED suppose to built for long lasting, however in this case the low quality LED driver gave up 1st. My car change to those Cree LED light bulb almost 3 years now still running strong. Anyway, i believe the LED driver was sealed inside the lamp assy and can't be dismantled, wild guess it should be a simple DC/DC buck converter with constant current driver. Myvi LED longevity is balanced with burnt third brake lamp bulb every 3 months j/k

QUOTE(Imagination *-* @ Dec 8 2016, 10:55 PM) Just to add on. I changed my saga 2016 type from 13 inch m3 to 195/50r15 Falken ZIEX 914 ecorun (2516) @ rm125 a piece. I think it's a pretty good buy and the reviews for this tyres are very positive online There are an abundance of tire choices for that size, and many are better than Falken. But for RM125 per piece, good if you are budget minded.

QUOTE(mywingame @ Dec 28 2016, 04:43 PM) Anyone experience this? Sometimes the remote is really hard to lock/unlock the car, but sometimes from about 10 feet away still can lock/unlock the car. When it cannot lock/unlock its really hard until you stick the key to the body, keyhole also no respond... mind you car still 1 years old and key also... both in good condition When it is difficult to lock/unlock, is it always near the same area? eg. some particular kedai area, parking area etc.

QUOTE(mywingame @ Dec 28 2016, 06:00 PM) Some accessory guy say this is very common issue and teach me to lock/unlock the car at rear left, if still fail, I discovered that tuck in the key at the gap between the boot of the left side helps better Is there any fix for this? didn't see anyone complaining about this... Before I learnt the trick, its really hard to open... sometimes I just gave up and use key to open up and triggered the alarm BIIIIIIIIIIIKKKK! haha yea thats because the car's alarm module is hidden behind the left taillamp I am guessing it is due to interference of the remote signal from other sources in the area. QUOTE(LemonKnight @ Mar 1 2017, 05:54 PM) Just curious, do you guys always skim your disc rotors every time you change the pads? Or do you think it's unnecessary? Also, does the stock saga pads have wear indicators? I can hear some squeal each time I press moderately on the brakes. If not uneven no need skim. If your brake pedal vibrates whenever you brake (fast or slow), then probably need to skim. You shouldn't skim your rotors too many times. If skimmed more than twice I'd advise to change new.

[attachmentid=8756730] Fest forward 2 months, and now it's back for good. All looks okay eeexcept for one mistake. [attachmentid=8756754] I sent it back to rectify just now. Almost had a quarrel with apple staff over the grille thing. Sorry I had to rant. Had to find an outlet to cool my temper. FLX SE?

QUOTE(enabill @ Oct 5 2017, 12:32 PM) guys... any idea whats happening? when idling , engine stutters, during traffic lights or parking.... u can feel engine wants to die off bt it wont....it stutters for few seconds then it stabilized by itself by increasing the rpm i searched online and alot of ppl having this issue with no one single common solution....my mechanic told me could be my plug coil bt im skeptical... the stuttering does not happen when im driving or during pickup and its as smooth as an flx can be...its jus during idling..... wd luv to hear from u.... much appreciated..... Usually its plug coil or spark plugs.
