Btw, I don't think I'll modify it like Wankel's since I don't really need it on all the time.

Anyone Saga is above 100K mileage?

I heard from foreman that Saga usually have gearbox problem for 100K mileage and above. (For Auto transmission).

Anyone can share if its true? And problem with Proton Saga is that the belt comes a set with the gear box. So belt kering = gear box have to change whole set. No 2nd hand as well because only Proton using this technology. Other brand car can change the belt only.

Anyone know about this? Please don't shoot me, I just want to confirm if foreman telling the truth.

Hi All, just went for my 40km service and I requested the person in charge of my car to check my tyres if already requires switching. After he checked, he then advise me to replace the front tyres since is already not in good condition while back tyres are still ok. Anyone can recommend a trusted tyre shop here in puchong? I'm near in IOI mall.
My car is FLX 1.3 CVT.

Also,  as I checked the specs in proton website, my tyre size is 175/70 R13. Any idea on the price for this tyre size?

Yes very different and be very careful, don't even rely on a workshop knowing how evil it is to put common ATF in a CVT. CVTs can be ruined by using ATF ours need fluid that's labeled EZL799 or EZL799(a) without that marking on the container avoid using it.
From what I've gathered unlike common automatic transmissions CVTs rely on friction between the pushbelt and the sheaves, so need an oil that provides added metal to metal friction, slippage here will damage the belt and sheaves.
Word of mouth here is that the filter is good for two oil/fluid changes, so ignore it at the 50,000 km change.

A bit confused.. after changing our CVT (EZL799), do we still have to change our ATF?
And i suppose it has to be changed at interval of 50,000km?

Best to get it diagnosed. Potentially the O2 sensor or mass air flow sensor needs cleaning/replacement.

My car using fully synthetic oil, this was recommended for me as a sales person who travel a lot within kl-selangor-Melaka-Johor. Average about 100km+- per day.

No more warranty, and guy from proton said 80k will be a major service as well. I guess it will cost a bomb again. ((
Can sifu advice? Any recommended service centre or workshop I can look for? Proton saja, mahal lah T-T

hi sifu,my stupid saga every month also go in workshop to fix,before this change lower arm bushing into pu,then found out undercarriage got hole,then after fix ad my subframe bushing koyak due to the welding process.....

too rich fault code also cannot solve,haih..

Yes I was thinking of doing that but the other week when I pulled the drum off my lazy gene kicked in when I contemplated pulling the shoes off to gain access, so I just cleaned up the dust and inspected things before slapping it back together. The tac-tac noise is only a minor irritation and I had suspicions it may have been the shoe kicking sideways onto the backing plate, perhaps confirmed here.
