Hey guys, I'm new to Lowyat, I recently just gotten a 2nd hand Saga SV, not sure if this is the correct forum or not.. I just wanna ask, how to massively reduce the cabin noise level for this car?? It's producing way too much white noise at around 80km/h. A cheap basic noise reduction method should suffice for now until I've got better budget..

my car brake light at the back seat not working and i go shop ask and was told it would cost RM200-300 to change to new one

do you guys know is there alternative and cheaper one? it is too expansive for me...

Hi, I got a cracked windscreen and got it replaced couple of days back. Now when I drive above 70km/h, there is some wind noise in the cabin (coming from the windscreen). Anyone faced similar problem before or know what might cause it?

Tested and there's a leakage. Windscreen wasn't installed properly i guess. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi guys, what is the problem with my suspension system?

Guys is it common for saga fuse box to have issue within 5 years?

My car overheated the other day due to radiator fan not turning on.

Changed the radiator fan fuse but still dint turned on. Checked the fan cabling showed no power supply.

Last sent to svc to check. They called and said fuse box wiring system kaput and need replace the whole fuse box system.

SC confirmed that my fuse box need to be replaced but it is very expensive.

Said my fan 30amp fuse loose contact with the fuse box under heavy vibration. And need it replace all.

But is there any outside service shop that can fix my fuse box? In Klang valley.

I messaged him. He said cannot do for normal saga flx/vvt 

Anyway my SC mentioned that this relay burned:




but then he changed it with this newer version (beside the newer version is just to show the diagram), of which I'm a little alarmed because the diagram is not similar (can anyone verify this?)

The fan works now but the SC want to charge me RM 600+ to change the entire fuse box because they mention that due to the relay burned, it caused the part where the fuse box electronic card holding the 30 amp radiator fan fuse to be albeit loose. Meaning that there is a chance that halfway driving this fuse may come loose and cause my fan to stop. If I'm not aware engine will overheat

So I don't know, worth to pay RM600+ for the peace of mind? Or the SC trying to scam me    it's fine now but i need some sort of verification whether the contact is good enough or not. 

I'm currently driving 2012 Saga FLX. For almost a week, I have noticed there's some noise "tak tak tak" and its frequency changes according to the rpm. When I'm accelerating, the noise goes faster and then slower when I slow down my car. So from here I can conclude it's not according to speed.

Anyone has similar issues? Gearbox prob or IAFM? Not sure how to describe to foreman too. Should I send to normal workshop or Proton SC?

Guys, do you know how to change/repair the door switch, it's kind of not working well, door indicator doesn't light up when door is opened

Today marks the 11th anniversary of my Saga FLX.
At the time, I was only had a contract job, hence I can only afford something cheap. Kancil was too small for me, so I went with Saga instead. And it was the cheapest and most basic variant of what Proton was offering at the time. 1.3l, manual, no add ons, no frills.

And the car still works well. Well, as well as an 11 year old car can work. I haven't touched the air conditioning in years since it saps so much power from the engine. But with the air-con off, man, that campro engine really feels responsive. You would quickly be revving up to 4K without even noticing.
The manual transmission still feels tight and firm, but for whatever reason the check gearbox light always randomly turns on after an accident 5 years ago. Mechanics never found out why, so meh.. I didn't bother with it.
Except for some replacements parts, everything in the car is stock, down to the terrible stock rims. Also I do feel that the suspension really do need a replacement. But even then the car still feels agile. Zipping through the KL traffic is still a joy with this
