Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of buying a 1/2 or 3/4 size classical guitar (I've pretty short fingers). The first & last one I played was Fender MC-1 3/4 size (fret 1 7/8''), when I was starting to learn a bit in the States when I was on a semester exchange. I didn't manage to bring it back so finally I had to sell it off.

Converting the amount I spent on the Fender, my budget in Malaysia would be less than RM700. I'm currently eyeing these:

Cordoba C1 3/4 Size Classical Guitar: https://www.musicbliss.com.my/cordoba/cordo...lassical-guitar RM645
Yamaha CGS102AII Half Size Classical Guitar https://www.musicbliss.com.my/yamaha-cgs102...guitar-malaysia RM580
Yamaha CS40II 3-Quarter size Classical Guitar https://www.musicbliss.com.my/yamaha-cs40-0...guitar-malaysia RM470

Which one is better? Or does anyone have any other recommendation?

Thanks for your input! smile.gif

why dont u just buy another mc1 again? should also be below rm700.

anyway amongst those 3, and by specs alone, the Cordoba is the clear winner.
i wouldn't touch either of the yamahas cos of their shorter scale length...definitely will not touch any 1/2 sized either no matter who makes it.
the Cordoba has a decent 24" which is still easily playable... and for something in between the fender mc1 comes into play again.

I asked shop owner from which I first bought the Fender MC-1 whether which guitar should I purchase as an upgrade from Fender MC-1, and he suggested me Yamaha CGS and Cordoba Requinto which have better tonal quality, and they did sound richer than MC-1 which is sweet and mellow. I thought Cordoba sounded a bit better but the fret was a bit too big for me, so I found this model called C1 online.

If comparing the specs of Cordoba C1 and Fender MC-1 which one is better? Can you give me some tips on how to compare the specs? Thank you! smile.gif

P/S: If there are any other good 3/4 sizes with neck 48mm from other brands, I don't mind increasing budget limit.
