Anyone tested the paddle shift? I don't feel it useful as it is using CVT, no much of downshift feel as compared to FD2.
Overall, FC is a good car and suit for family with sporty look. FD still the best for racing boy.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Nov 2 2016, 09:12 AM) Really? Need to feel the downshift to feel sporty? Try racing a stock FD2 and stock FC1 side by side and see who gets to 200km/h faster. am talking about paddle shift - FD2 have more fun to use it for overtaking cars - the power gaining from downshifting is significant compared to FC (Turbo) using CVT with paddle shift, the precision of taking point out and into the road lane different (personally feel FD2 easy to control) by the way, FC1 dont have paddle shift..

QUOTE(isr25 @ Nov 2 2016, 10:28 AM) FC1 is Civic 1.5T bro... and yes, it has paddle shift. No real need actually for paddle shift as the CVT always keep the engine rev in the best power band. As I said, put a Civic 1.5T and Civic 2.0 side by side, overtaking on highway, 1.5T will always win. I used to own an FD2 from 2011 to 2016 and the FC1 outclasses it in every way. FC1 is Civic 1.5T, what you call for Civic FC 1.8 ? - sorry. i don't know about this. Overtaking on highway, sure 1.5T win... What about Ulu Yam & Ulu Langat road or on the street racing? FD's paddle shift with 6AT is faster than FC's paddle shift paired with CVT (bear in mind 1.5T has turbo lag)

QUOTE(isr25 @ Nov 2 2016, 02:24 PM) FD2 is 5AT bro... What 6AT are you talking about? Do you even have the FD2? LOL! Have you even tried the FC1 car? Turbo lag is extremely minimal, and you can only feel it if you mash on the accelerator hard. The Civic X 1.8 is FC2. I never said i have FD2 also. I'm just pointed out FC1 may not be fast in catching up with FD2 in ulu yam road or street racing...no need to be so lansi.. i know you own both civic before & now..

QUOTE(isr25 @ Nov 2 2016, 03:01 PM) Sorry if I come out that way, not my intention to make fun of you. Civic FC is faster than FD2 bro, no matter straight line, winding roads or uphill. FD2R or heavily modified FD2 using K24 engines is another matter altogether where those high RPM NA engines will be better than small cc turbo. That's why I say if a stock vs stock, the new FC will (nearly) always beat the old FD. Doesn't matter... No one care actually as we are typing in front of PC.. noted your statement.
