I went to honda showroom in Penang to test drive recently. SA was friendly and allow me to drive TCP for about 20minutes in multiple driving condition (Hill, curves, straight road to hit 100kmh) and then let my wife to try as well (she complained it's too huge for her)
The drive was mostly ok but there are few things that put me off in the car. 1) Minor cvt jerk if you slow down and decide to accelerate again 2) Test drive unit has minor buzzing on the dash 3) Showroom car have some poor welding job (it looks like this person in pakistan observed the same problem in this image https://propakistani.pk/wp-content/uploads/...5-1024x768.jpg) 4) Ultrasonic sensor housing plastic loose (rattling) 5) All 4 doors are too tight, hard to open Other than that, what i like: 1) Damped glovebox!, even US counterpart doesn't have this feature lol 2) Dashboard design quite nice and futuristic 3) Ride and handling is not bad, it's a balanced setup (not too stiff and not too soft) 4) Turbo powerrrr (although limited by the cvt experience but the cvt is quite responsive) 5) Engine noise for the turbo is alright for me 6) The ride is low, feels like driving a sports car. Still indecisive |

QUOTE(v88 @ Nov 11 2016, 08:41 AM) My opinion civic is well-rounded - comfort (cvt), spacious (space), sporty (design), performance (turbo). I agree civic is the most well rounded, all areas performed well but. Those that perform exceedingly good wasn't great in other areas. i.e M3 has great ride/handling but poor in legroom and NVH. Altis most comfort but at poor at handling, design. So far I have tested HRV and Civic. M3 yet to test. Other car in similar price range also not yet tested (Altis, Cerato2.0, etc) E spec HRV is priced about the same as civic 1.8, yet Civic 1.8 have more features. So i strike HRV out of my list already. The rear seat (not the legroom area) got hump at the center, very uncomfortable to sit in the middle. HRV dashboard doesnt look like will age well (weird design especially passsenger aircond). The cons for HRV in my opinion is the price, specs given and it's a B-seg. |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Nov 15 2016, 10:58 AM) Currently still waiting my SA to come. My guess your SA will remove the battery to reset the computer and connect back see if it's resolved.Maybe can tell him to advise SC on this issue. Definitely not keyless not detected issue. US counterpart also experienced some similar problem, probably related to sensors. On 2nd page another fella also cant start but he pumped diesel into his car instead haha. http://www.10thcivicforum.com/forum/169-20...wont-start.html |
