Will be getting my 1.8s next week, pending for registration.. Need some advice on tinted, between llumar highest spec (diamond 6) and raytech highest spec (centurion rx), which will fair better? Price quoted to me is similar..

For sales, raytech seems very friendly and convincing, but warranty 7 years.. Llumar is 10 years
*
I've tried both and almost all top end tint. I can say raytech is perhaps 10% better heat rejection (personal feeling) than diamond 6 but llumar is well known with its security film.

Just pumped my 1st tank - rm50 or 29l @ 400km. That translate to 13.5km/l town driving but it's been a quiet week, less jam.

Will see how does it compare after 1k inspection.

Btw, car is 1.8.

hmm.... I feel that the civic's sound system is below average. Bass is not being pumped out well. Anyone feels the same? Anyone upgraded their system?

Talking about how 'old' on the civic... wondering who here has the highest mileage?

Saw on FB somebody already went for 30k service. Mine is 6.5K and took delivery end of June

Any major or minor issue so far?

For me, my wife's car has just crossed the 500km mark. Took the car last 2 weeks! biggrin.gif

No major or minor issue for me. The only 1 issue (I would say minor) is that the alignment is a little off to the right. Wonder this will be covered under the 1k km inspection.

Why regret? I bought the 1.8S version for my wife and although we could easily afford the 1.5TCP model, we decided the 1.8S was more value for money since the Civic turbo is just a soft turbo. Plus the 1.8S is 14K cheaper compared to the 1.5TC model and the main things we miss out on is only the soft turbo and the leather seats. Not big ticket items if this isn't your main car.

I think the 1.8S offers the best value for money deal for that price tag and the specs on offer. But the turbo is good too and gives u that extra driving edge for faster overtaking.
*
Same here. Especially when you already have a turbo charged car, why would you need another?

1.8 is great value for money!

After 1 week of driving 1.8S, i feel weird why my fuel consumption is around 6km/l... It is not even half of what you guys did, i admit i'm heavy footed since the beginning of few days, but I did drive slow for the remaining few days. And I cant stand the aircond in every morning, it is too cold even set at lowest, I'm shivering until i reached my office everyday. When I press auto for aircond, it is forever max no matter cold or hot day, seems like sensor broken. sad.gif

Most of the 1.5T here are getting less than your 1.8 FC if only do 100% city drive
*
Well... In all honesty, my wife use the car to pick up my kids which is a fuel guzzler as she'll be waiting in the car with the ac running. Over the weekend, we drive it a little long distance to either Klang or something like that...

But averagely, per tank (2nd tank) is about 13-14km/l.

The 18km/l was done in the city driving to Klang on a weekend biggrin.gif

I'm now at the SC doing my 1k inspection after 3 weeks of owning the car.

Spoke to the SA here and he told me turbo charged versions need to send their cars more often than. The 1.8. The quickest service was done within 6k mileage! Wow... Luckily I didn't buy the TC version or I'll need to visit the SC more often...

K. Some feedbacks and comments from a 1.8 LS owner (or semi owner... haha)

Read the 50+ or more pages on the Civic before decided to purchase it in Sept. So, my feedback on the 'feedbacks' :-

1. No... the horn is just fine for me. Don't need to change it.
2. No... the fabric is great and acceptable for me.
3. freezing cold AC - had to turned it up to 24 or 25 on a HOT sunny day. Even my wife also said it's freezing... haha
4. Thank God no rattling whatsoever! notworthy.gif

So, did my 1k service last Friday. No problems whatsoever with the car. Only had an alignment issue where the steering pulled a little to the left. The SC rectified that without charge (of course!). Took a little longer at 1.5 hours as they need to do the alignment. After that, all is PERFECT! smile.gif

Took the car down to Melaka for a day trip. Found that the ride was quiet and comfortable. Perhaps it was riding on a 16' wheel instead of 17' as I remembered it was quite noisy (I commented last round) during my test drive on the 1.5 TC. Managed a 17.1km/l for a 300+km trip + almost 1 hr crawling jam!!!!! If without the jam, I believe the mileage could go further... perhaps 20km/l or more??? biggrin.gif

Seriously, it is a value for money and excellent car!! No regrets getting this car.
Thanks HONDA! haha...

Hi.

I wish to inquire whether anyone noticed the orange color line appearing between the fuel indicator and the white line under the word "Trip". It can appear as solid line at times and also "displaying & fading away like animation". It is not permanent but will appear once a while.

Thank you.

haha.... I notice it when I was driving in the night. I was also puzzled by it as it might be some sort of warning. Of course my wife didn't notice it. Anyway, I believe (and I emphasis believe) its the street light reflected on the meter panel which gives the orange lighting. Try covering it with your hand on a certain angle. Then, you'll notice that its a reflection from the street lights.

Only appears in the night rite?

I went to Sri Damansara. They take my car the highest..
Car got stolen. Recovered, found something not right with engine..
Sentimental feeling.  cry.gif
Can't comment on civic but first impression, Mazda 3 handling is awesome.
My opinion, design is stylish. Civic a bit overdo.

How much did they took your car in? And what year?

When a car is stolen, best is it will never be recovered!

No offense, why thieves wanna steal a mazda? Usually,p they would go for popular brands.
