In my opinion, many phones better than Note 7.

Just compare to my current HTC 10 for example

Note 7 lacks stereo boomsound speakers as Note 7 still uses single mono tune soft speakers
Note 7 lacks metal unibody build which is more durable than using glass plastics panel and attracts a lot of fingerprints
Note 7 usually gets slower Android updates by around 4-5 months than HTC 10
Note 7 still a bit lag when you try to slide over left to read Briefing News (Flipboard), but HTC 10 when slides to Blinkfeed, there is no lag (it just like this Blinkfeed is part of native Android build)
Note 7 still uses the right "back button" in which I feel that it is not ergonomics. (only my opinion)
Note 7 uses Amoled screen which is too saturated and make colors unreal (only my opinion)
Both HTC 10 and Note 7 camera is good and excellent. Both scores DXO mark 88.

Yes Note 7 has water resistant and S-Pen, but who uses it daily?
I got Sony Z2 previously and I don't even wash my phone more than 3 times in a year as I always keep my phone clean.

Seem like china n us note 7 also dangerous, samsung claim this 2 country device should have no problem. But now an explode case in the us.

I don't believe in waterproof tech... It's "gimmick" tech to  lure consumer... All materials has wear and tear issue, waterproof tech is rubbish to me.

Not to mention, mobile phones easily overheat and effect waterproof materials easily ...

We'll see later lots of H20-gate in Apple's 2016 flagship later...just take pop-corn to enjoy the news ..

Removable and yet waterproof could be done.... but the phone will likely be bulky... not as streamlined...

The water concern is because nowadays phones are with lots of "holes" exposed to water if it is submerged. Take N7 for instance, its USB-C, the headphone Jack, speaker, physical home button, all these are exposed to water hazard.

Why Sony change the terms for their water proofing policy during their Xperia Z3 is that they had change the way these ports are protected from a fully enclosed type of sealing to what everyone is now practiced - by o rings that is still exposed to water when it come to contact.

Take a look at Xperia Z that I am using right now as spare phone, it is completed covered with flaps for the usb ports, headphone jack. yes there are still orings but they are secure inside the flaps once you close it, not exposed like what the newer generation of phones are. I am sure there are pros and cons of each other as the xperia Z I had already changed the micro usb flap for 3 times due to wear and tear (had to open the flap to plug the charging cable, and close it later) and the o ring gets worn and torn after some time. But till now I still have very good confident on the design that it is no problem to stay underwater as advertised (bearing in mind that the phone is already 3years+). For the newer generation of phones like N7, Xperia Z5, or even the IP7 it just doesn't give me the confident that it will still be doing good after a few years.

Few day no come, so many pages of stuff again .... now those airline announcements really get to me now .. few years back, EVERONE IS SUPPOSED TO TURN OFF THEIR DAMN PHONES IN THE PLANE ... Since those days I've been cursing ppl who make calls in the plane, last minute sms's and sh!t like that ... I mean BRO, you're traveling on the plane, have a rest, watch some movie or something, unless you're managing multi million business or anything like that, TURN OFF YOUR DAMN PHONES ... last time 3310 also i turn off my phone ... don't say Note7

Of course then technology slowly getting hebat, then they announce switch to night mode ok liao .... then slowly during take off and landing only flight mode, when stable time can use, and now even some planes got wifi liao ... but back to basics, you're supposed to OFF your phones ! I still don't understand why people have their phones ON in the frigin plane ...

All these announcement make it sound like Note7 is some kind of bomb (oh wait it is...ok fine) I mean they shouldn't just target Note7, EVERYONE should be turning off their phones. .. that's my point

All these news is really disappointing ... I mean I'm not really a "fanboy" but I just don't trust other brand .... and definitely not using iPhones ... If this Note7 nonsense getting more and more serious and getting banned here and there, I really dunno what other phone to buy .. My set purchased through yes telco. Today i make a call enquiry at samsung service center as i will taking plane soon, so not convenienct to continue using my note 7, they ask me to return the phone full set to service center and loan me a note 5. And once the replacement set ready will call me to pick up at service center instead of yes store. Feel happy for the good service from Samsung. As preorder we enjoyed 10 % discount and alot freebies which quite useful for me....i can put 1 charger at home and one wireless charger at office..... power bank (fast charge) on the go.....29 sep i will enjoy another unit note 7 unboxing plus screen crack protection and currently using note 5.... considering the value i pay.....the service i enjoy is 5 star..... unlike my previous unhappy encounter using china brand flagship..... power button "short" and cause the hp keep restarting suddenly during my teatime...... totally no chance for backup.....bring to service center 2 months not fixed , end up i pay for the fixed instead of waiting no end time......yet.....only compensation gift is apologize from the service center staff..
