Samsung Service Center is the best, yesterday I receive a call from my service center asking about how is using the Note5 as a temporary replacement currently. And they also reminded me to bring whole box and receipt when want to claim the replacement unit on the 29th.
I think Samsung is the best after sales in service compared with other brands that I use previously.
The worst SC is Sony Mobile.

yeah else no need to travel if you own note 7 laugh.gif
latest I saw is iPhone 7 pawn every Android device laugh.gif
btw benchmark is nothing
fanboy everywhere, already get used to it whistling.gif
if you deal with Dell warranty before then you won't say this anymore
but off course, depends which Samsung service center you sent laugh.gif

Dell tak pernah rasa. At least this is the best I have ever gone through. I'm using an Asus laptop, the SC was not so good. Got problem with software, but takes almost 1 week to solve. At least the laptop is still going strong for 4 years already.
But I heard many people said Dell SC is 5 star. biggrin.gif

Maybe you said is true. Maybe my SC is the best, but others is so-so only.

Always heard that Asus's after sales service is very bad. Not only in Malaysia, even in Asus motherland Taiwan. The Taiwanese users always complain about their SC services all the time.
*
Woah I thought only here in Malaysia, but it also happened in Taiwan. They are good in quality, but in terms of SC. I'm just speechless. My friend send his laptop for software problem takes almost 2 weeks to solve.

But still, my Asus N56 still going strong after 4 years. Kudos to them for making the best laptop ever. Maybe after this can try a Dell laptop.

Interesting theories. Wonder if any one of them is the right reason?
*
I thought Samsung already said that the separator between the two plates is too thin causing it to touch when charging or even use in hot conditions? Luckily I'm not using the Note7 and let my SC keep. Too dangerous for me. I'm afraid it will kaboom. biggrin.gif

Yup. Asus products especialy their laptops and routers are actually very good. But can't say the same thing to their after sales service, including their smartphone department.

In term of SC services, Samsung and Apple are the best. Huawei is coming up to the next.
*
Apple never gone through their SC because during my whole life using the iPad, it just won't broke. From iPad 4 and jump to iPad Air 2 this year, that thing just never fail. Always work flawlessly. That is the advantage of iOS, smoothness and stability.
I was thinking to buy a spare phone from Huawei, interested on the new Huawei Honor 8, but already spend too much. So have to wait. smile.gif Hoping will feel the SC from Huawei soon. biggrin.gif

yes Samsung did say that. But we all know some people would be skeptical about it and eventually they would go to conduct their own researches, hence those multiple theories out there.
*
Oh okay. But quite good article for everyone. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Sep 16 2016, 03:02 AM)
try Dell XPS / Alienware brows.gif
*
Hahaha. Too expensive for me. Completely out of budget. But the laptop is so nice to look at. Especially the new XPS model. That almost borderless screen. So beautiful.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 16 2016, 08:03 AM)
I have only one experience with Asus at its Skudai branch. Service was top notch and I got a free tablet replacement after the tech screwed up changing the motherboard. My tablet was with custom recovery n it showed during bootup. All hard buttons failed to boot it except always to TWRP menu. It was an imported Nexus from Google USA. The tech told me all Nexus is covered with international warranty and root is accepted too
*
Based on everyone experience, not all SC are good or bad. But my experience at Asus LowYat is not a good one. But anyway I still use their products because of the quality of their products. Maybe they can keep improving the quality of their products to keep me as their loyal customer. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(thugs @ Sep 16 2016, 08:27 AM)
Apple can work flawlessly. The thing I don't like is the lack of flexibility.

Android is still my preference. biggrin.gif
*
I agree 100%

QUOTE(thugs @ Sep 16 2016, 08:30 AM)
I had 2 Asus laptops and both are working great!

Unfortunately, for Samsung Authorised Service Centre, it's not a lot nationwide. My place doesn't have one. sad.gif
*
thumbup.gif
So pity. Maybe after this find a phone that have the nearest SC from your house.

QUOTE(thugs @ Sep 16 2016, 08:36 AM)
I also have Asus N56 and still using!
*
The best laptop ever designed by Asus. But damn the laptop is so damn heavy. But the sound is still amazing until today. My friend sometimes wonder why my laptop sound is much louder than his HP Pavilion laptop. He just bought the laptop 1 year ago.

Official announcement from U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on 15/9. Announcement video inside.

http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/15/technology...cpsc/index.html

Whoever say this is negative, then don't click the link. This is only for people who are concerning about the safety and latest progress of the recall issue. I repeat. This is latest official announcement from US, it's the real deal.
*
Anyway the US still get the phone early than Malaysia. Malaysia, why you are so late? Too many holidays based on what I see uh?

Donno why. I thought Pavillion is geared much to entertainment, but the sound is kinda meh. My friend said la. Hahaha.

i'm not picking sides, but somehow both have their solid reasons to, why bother on those who don't want to switch it off? it's their decision anyway, and for those have decided to eye iphone7, why bother to reply here with even negative sentiments that doesn't help,

there must be a reason of everything, that includes those that don't want to shut it down, because the phone is truly amazing. just simple as that. whether they would want to risk their life or not, it's their call.

nontheless, i received 2 calls from samsung yesterday for confirmation on replacement. kudos.

never had good experience with asus sc. qc for zenfone2 as bad as what it is. i do much prefer samsung's service at least from the phone call ,and the management, but service centre & shop, depends on your luck.
*
Maybe their phone is not as good as their laptops and routers. The SC maybe it depends. Which SC you go to for your Zenfone?

Digital mall. Went there for 3 times. One unpleasant. One good. One ok.

For Samsung. Avoid Sunway pyramid as no one picks the phone probably due to too much people. One utama never bordered kinda feels lazy to me.
*
Most of SC in KL for Asus is not so good. Even their customer service at Lowyat is worse. 1 week to solve a software problem. Anyway not all SC is bad. I hope the SC in KL solve this problem. Give a bad image to Asus. biggrin.gif

Is it just me or the original Samsung's screen protector has a little yellowish tint? Anyone took out the sp and felt the difference in screen clarity and colour?
*
Find a different SP. When I first installed it, I really hate it.
First, the clarity of the screen reduce so much that I really hate how it viewed all the pictures.
Second, really fingerprint magnet. I have to wipe my screen every hour because I hate fingerprint stains.

Just 3 days I use it, I throw it away and use Clear Coat for my screen. Worth every cent. biggrin.gif

Clear coat is really good bro? Are you using casing with the clearcoat? I am thinking of applying that one after phone replacement.
*
Using the matte full body one. It have the case version. It should fit properly if using with case. But mine is UAG. So have to trim a bit in the corner to get no lifting issues. Other than that is perfect.
But the only thing is money. Terbang RM180... biggrin.gif
Anyway got lifetime warranty so no issues for me.

the matte one have glittering red/blue or rainbow effect?
*
Can't remember because I already sent my phone back to SC but I do remember there is no rainbow effect. But the matte one feel a bit sandy but definitely no fingerprint at all. But the clarity still amazing compared to the Samsung one.
But still you have the option for a clear one. RM144 plus 10% discount. The clear one donno how it feels.
And I do remember I drop the phone face down from the side bed table without case and it seems the SP do have military grade protection. biggrin.gif

Thinking of getting the clear type. Matte type, like you said, terbang lah $$$. haha!

I am using Spigen... not sure it will lift or not.

And now, Samsung giving free tempered glass, so, to clear coat or not... haha
*
I think Spigen don't have problem because UAG case is a bit thick and eat a bit of the screen. That's why I have to trim the SP a bit.
Anyway you should definitely get it. Worth every penny. Plus if you don't like the installation or got scratches with the SP, you can get free replacement during the phone lifetime.
Only RM144 (10% discount included) for full body protection including the sides. Ask for 10 percent discount from the cashier before installing. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the feedback and comment bro! I think I should get the clear coat then. Hopefully no issue with the Spigen case.

Need to personally ask for 10% discount?
*
Yes and good luck. But have to like their FB page first if they ask you. biggrin.gif Try Pavilion KL for the installation.

Many people bring up the removal of headphone jack done by iphone, yet i don't see many people use wired headphones on their hp.

Audiophiles who are serious about music quality do not use their hp as a music player. As for casual music listeners, they will be satisfied with beats and wireless headphones.

What's the big deal on the removal of headphone jack when majority of the people are not using it.
*
I'm still using it especially when going back to my hometown on bus, car and sometimes going back to the village on a plane. Even when I'm bored at home I still use the wired earphones to watch any video without disturbing others.
So it is still relevant for the headphone jack. Wireless earphones battery is not long lasting, have to be recharged always and the audio quality is not on par as the wired earphones. Experience using Gear Circle. That earphones sucks bad.
BTW I'm using Mi In-ear Headphones Pro and for me it is the best in sound quality and balanced sound.

Since we are on the topic of the importance of 3.5mm headphone jack, there's a rumor saying that Samsung may follow Apple's footstep in next year.

http://www.sammobile.com/2016/09/14/rumor-...oprietary-port/

Honestly, I won't be surprised if they do follow since the mobile trends is "You copy me, I copy you" kind of thing....
*
I hope not. Because they don't have the power as Apple to manipulate everyone thinking that we do not need a headphone jack.
Look what happened to Samsung when they decided to remove the microSD slot last year. They were hammered by all Samsung users about the slot removal. Maybe they won't go that route again.
