QUOTE(Max2006 @ Sep 11 2016, 12:17 PM)
If I can choose, I rather take a budget phone such as J5 or J7, as a loan phone. Giving my a S7edge may be good, but at the same time, I need to take care of it before I give it back to Samsung. Need to pray hard on this. if the S7 edge got any damage during the waiting period, mati lo. So I rather be patience and use a budget phone. It's not that I need to wait for a long time to get back Note 7 anyway... unsure.gif
*
same thought too. but my financial-side of mind disallow vmad.gif pay 3k but have to use 0.3k phone (for the time being). besides, not like when we use note7 we dont take care also?

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Sep 11 2016, 12:14 PM)
they should tell everyone got loan device..much easier...

QUOTE(abarai @ Sep 11 2016, 12:32 PM)
samsung...samsung...you ask to powerdown and return phone and nego for loaner phones. but only cater for those 4k phones sold direct. what about the other 4k phones sold thru your partners?

if you really care about consumer safety, you should just make things simple, all returns and exchange and loan phone just go thru your samsung centers. you already have the IMEI database for all n7 and can easily check if those are SME phones. just urgently carry out the recall exercise then you can slowly belakang kira with your partners. with your database it is no issue to identify which phone sold thru who.

as it is now every partner have different process...and very unlikely they can offer loaner phones to those who need it. if anything happen what will you do? just point that u already ask everyone to power down so can wash your hands already?
*
that is quite correct. vmad.gif

I think they definitely will change the name. Since they said they will put a "S" sticker on the box to prove that the new unit is safe, I think they will rename it as Galaxy Note 7s. "S" stand for Safe and Second. Simple and straight to the point.
*
side note, we're ahead of fruit again haha they just only got 7 while 7s is only due next year rclxms.gif

About the 2nd hand value, I think it will depend on the phone itself. If it's replacement unit, no way it will drop down to below RM 2000. Hell no. Impossible.

But if you are talking about the faulty unit (I still think that some people will not return the phone), RM 1500? May be lah.....
*
but thinking of which, if the person buy at 1500 then go and replace (within replacement period) he get a brand new version. good catch eh. drool.gif

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 11 2016, 10:40 PM)
usually for a solid product like Note7, no need to reduce price so soon. but due to the battery issue affecting their reputation and also new phone launches, Note7 don't really stand a chance at it's current pricing.

and personally for me, I'm still confident of Samsung product.. and the replacement unit I'll be getting soon.
*
maybe just drop to 5% to 10% like that lah. they can't drop too drastically, will spoil the whole market. just like our salary, GM salary cannot get executive salary range. my 2c.

if it drops to RM1599 like "pergi pergi dua" said, not a bad thing also for new buyers, maybe can boost sales (in terms of units) blush.gif ok, awaiting backfires.

At least they admit the problem and recall it. Not like the other brand, 'You are holding it wrong' kind of attitude. And that phone is a design flaw. Not counting all those exploding fruit phones that is not widely reported on based what I'm seeing.
*
aiya, imagine fruit have 35 units of explosion out of 13million units on launch weekend(1)or 51.2million units sold (2) compared to 35 units of explosion out of 2.5million for the first few weeks, of cuz the bigger % will show like WHOA SO BIG CASE AH. but then forget to see the numbers.

edit : (1) source from wikipedia, (2) from some tech web

obviously he is not. just hope that one should not be the unlucky one to sell him at rm1.5k lol. that is merely unacceptable. i still thinking to sell it at RRP price, if one die die wanna have it, RM1.5K i rather carry the time bomb, opps sorry, replacing it with new ones on 29th.
*
pay 1.5k, take the bomb, keep at home, wait till 29/9, change new phone, new unbomb for 1.5k. sell again at 2.5k, earn 1k/66% in less than a month. sounds like a good deal. (oh shiz, i sound like supporting pergi pergi dua oops!)

Yes. It's common believe for every individual. But you can't say the same thing when it comes to business. For example, Maxis. Do you think Maxis would change their mind to ditch their expensive plan if the customers did not "force" them to do so? No right?
*
just like RM98 for 5gb, still expensive for me. hahaha cool2.gif

Not all Note 7 are in problem, at least mine is using normally and didn't have any temperature problem.

I am using wireless charging and usually battery never below 75%, charges anytime when charger is there.

Also there is no Explosion case beside Korea, those explosion i.e the jeep and garage who can't confirm was caused by Note 7?
*
you have to read back a few posts. i was tryng to mock someone else. cool2.gif

Just wonder Note 7 owners from Singapore can get their replacement unit from Friday onward, why Malaysia need to be late by 10 days?

Really unfair!

and thinking of which, by "making appointments" to change the phone is rather troublesome (my own opinion). i think SME is better as they just send back the same amount of note7s during pre-order to the respective shops for the exchange will do, then the users, aka us, can choose our sweet time (within eligible period) to go, no need to rush like see specialist doctor.

(i know someone's gonna say about home delivery...)

Easier said than done bro. Wait till you feel the greatness of Note 7 in your own hands that time then only u will understand our feelings.

QUOTE(eagleknight @ Sep 18 2016, 09:06 PM)
That is what I want to say too.

Like me without any spare phone and my business need a higher spec Android phone so I will continue to using it, some more mine is working great and almost No Problem At All.

Some more as what I have mentioned before: There is NO EXPLOSION CASE IN Malaysia & Singapore.
*
agree +1, until to-date even i am using back my note5, i still use note7 at home (just without whatsapp and wechat) since all other apps data are based on login ID and not on board memory. both phones can sync data simultaneously.

that slimness, that one hand grip, the feeling of holding it. and lastly bring to toilet sh*tting also not scare fall into bath tub rolleyes.gif just saying.
