side wall softer than s drive , i think will looking for s drive old stock

ask the shop owner to press the side wall and try, lol now donno looking for s drive old stock or these, i quite like s drive for its dry performance

for the price, grip wise not bad, much better for me to touge , another daily drive put ps3

made in Philippines instead of s drive Made in japan, so the similar size will be cheaper

may b they never see the real thing yet

initial review after that day go touge batang kali to genting. just happen gohtong to genting rain, can test damp condition.

1. more comfort compare to s drive , yellow line feel not as harsh as s drive
2. same damper setting , a lot more roll , just as i use hand to test the sidewall,it feel softer
3. the grip level might be around the same as s drive, i dunno whether the tire fully run in yet , but the limit seem much earlier than s drive, squeeze much earlier. new s drive don't seem to squeeze much.
4. wet/damp condition better than s drive when new, but not sure about aquaplaning resistance though

my suspension setup guy suggest me to play around with the damper clicker to try first as he said this tire better than s drive, i will try to.

for now if you ask me, I will choose S drive instead.

Just back from genting, learned something new today. hahaha actually for my style of driving I don't think I need that's much of mileage to run in, I checked the tire don't even seem to be any wax (shinny) leftover on the thread.

The story is like this. Wednesday I was touge on damper setting (F10clicks R12clicks count loosen from full stiff), and I felt the grip was bad, so easier to reach tyre limit compared to s drive. It felt even worst than a 50% s drive and I thought the tire haven't fully run in. Then my suspension guy suggested that I go play around with the damper clickers.

Today I touge with my friend (same car ,stock suspension on re003). I set the damper to loosen to F8click R10 click from full stiff. Based on record, my car from gohtong to genting, at least 1 to 2 corner advance if we push our car from guard house to ria aparment. Today run was totally dissapoint with the grip, my friend able to keep up with me and even overtake me due to I dont have the grip to maintain momentum to go in and out of the corner of my low power car.

After we yam cha and discuss, my friend ask whether i'm doing full speed or not, because he felt that i'm quite slow today. The yamcha session I was cursing on how yokohama can rated such tire better than the old s drive and thought of trade in it for a set of RE003. After yam cha I decided to give it a go , again. This time I soften the car 3 more click F&R (F11clicks R13clicks). While on the way to going down to chin swee temple and go uphill to test 1 more round, instantly I feel the car roll better than grip better. I couldn't believe, then I push hard on uphill to try. So I found my direction to tune my car, go softer more grip for these tire.

I drive my car to gohtong, play around with the setting. Found out that (F11clicks R14clicks soften from full stiff) seem working the best for this tire in terms of grip and roll level. After have some noodle at gohtong restaurant, going downhill, instantly felt a lot better, turn in, grip level, limit much higher than s drive.

OC4/3is my passenger, please give some review. hahaha

tire pressure same as sdrive among the test which is 225kpa as I found the best on the s drive for this setting, didn't have much time to play around with this new tire.

how do i put in this? may be i should say it's not soft, but it's require softer rebound compared to s drive to put it in working state. Stiffer setting damper feel like the tire sidewall giving up much earlier and less grip. Now on softer you can feel its stick on the road and earlier higher instead.

Lets just say that my earlier setting was too stiff for the tire. I won't say stock works better , as i try softer , its roll more and less grip, just need to find the right setting

Now on 300km mark, will update again, but obviously damper setting makes traction a lot different. Will try to play with air pressure

definitely, when i was on s drive i try to play with pressure, 33 psi and 32 psi , grip different alot

not sure if its trolling or what, it rate the primacy 3 better than the fleva, in dry n wet grip, this make me wanna laugh
