Well in the below test, also by Autobild, it came 2nd though.

But yeah in most other tests, the F1A3 seems under performing. In last year's Autoexpress UK test, it also only came in 5th.

Well the test was done by Autobild, so surely not trolling but whether it's reliable we don't know. Maybe their testing experience was like yours first time when you use your harder setup hence poor performance. Anyway aside from the AD08R, Yokohama also never fares really well in most European comparison tests. The regular top 5 are either Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, Goodyear, Dunlop, or sometimes even Hankook but seldom Yokohama.

but really i'm impress this tyre , for the price , the grip level , not bad, its just the softer side wall not so well for spirited drive. considered that this is for that section of customer i think it did pretty well, the characteristics is like PS3 with slightly stiffer side wall , slightly higher noise. Same as PS3, harder compound and softer side wall. May be its a recipe for good wet grip, the wet grip of this tyre really pretty good ( yea, i'm type these after I touge during raining condition from karak to gohtong). I think this recipe also works much better with stock setup suspension, my fren fiesta fitted with it give quite high remark for it too.

Hmm based on this test, seems this tire is more focused for dry and comfort!  laugh.gif  Let's see more feedback from others.
Also another point to note is the new Falken Azenis FK510 can perform surprisingly good, matching much more expensive tires, so this tire can be a very good value for money. Then tires which are supposedly in a slightly lower performance category like CPC6 & P7 can match or beat higher performance category tires like the Sportmaxx RT2 & F1A3. F1A3 though I think might end up higher if not for its expensive price. Wonder how PS4 would fare in this test but I think it should top it, so if yo have budget for PS4, just buy that one. Also same case for CSC5/6 series, which surely are even better than CPC6. It's a pity difficult to get the Dunlop Sportmaxx RT in Malaysia.

Thanks for the review link!  thumbup.gif

oh ya , sorry for talking about ps4 in fleva thread, after some testing on f30 which used to be wearing PS3, the thread looks soft n sticker after some spirited drive up n down gohtong , and use the finger nail to poke the thread to test, meanwhile Fleva after spirited drive, the thread still looks like quite stiff and less damage which make me think that thread life on fleva much better on PS4, but for 225/45/18, the price almost double on michelin side rclxub.gif . The dry grip is good thou, rarely squeeze when pushing to limit compared to fleva which squeeze a lot, and the side wall is stiffer than PS3/fleva, better response. I purposely go through water puddle , the aquaplaning resistance ability seem not as well as PS3 hmm.gif
