for myvi using mex most of time, average speed 90-120kmh.. better get this tire or michelin ps3? difference about 20 ringgit per donut..

for those already change to 2nd set, how far this tire can tahan?
*
Better get PS3 coz the difference in price is not so much, yet PS3 is very much proven as a very good all rounder tire already, especially excellent in aquaplaning resistance while this Fleva has so many mixed reviews, mostly not so positive/doubtful actually.

so far the Fleva V701 feedback are positive from my side
of course there are few negative feedback , but considering their driving style are extreme , V701 really not enough for their usage

the advantange of these tire are Wet Grip and threadlife (better than RE003) and most important the pricing (15" not the cheapest but 16" 17" 18" 19" do offer very competitive price )

most negative feedback comes from the Dry grip which not Fleva strongest thing
but Wet grip and lifespan are what normal road user needed the most especially Msia road condition
and with these kind of price range really cant get better tire than V701
so personally will highly recommend this tire as a upgrade for most user !

of course u might think i promote these bcos im selling them but this are my personal view
if u have PS4 budget then go get them , but if u dont have then fleva is one of the best Mid price UHP in the market .

This comparison review by Autobild unfortunately doesn't look good on the Fleva and the aquaplaning resistance was especially highlighted as very poor while the overall wet & dry grip also low. It came out only 19th out of 20 tires tested! sad.gif It only won on being the most comfortable which is quite an irony given that this was meant to be a UHP tire.

personally went to test this tire on proper place , and it out perform their main rival (RE003) on the wet , and the difference is huge!
so im quite confident on the wet grip for fleva
while no one tells me about the comfort level cos we dont expect a UHP tire to be comfort

i wont fully trust european market review especially Yokohama for some reason
generally their rating are low (no idea)

btw , what UHP tire will u recommend if u have rm300+/- on hand for 215/45/17 ?
we all know PS4 , CSC6 , F1A3,Pzero are good top of the range tire
but these are not budget friendly tire and they only come with 17" or 18" and above
how about same sizes like 15" 16"?

if what i will recommend will be hankook ventus v12v2 that similar to V701
been selling this before V701 come out

price vs performance factor is what we consider the most
and buy the tire according to ur driving style (and budget also)

Autobild should have some credibility in their reviews, at least better than nothing at all and just our non professional gut/butt feel. I think the best tire reviews so far is by Autoexpress UK which also still comes from Europe. The only issue maybe is that their test environment (climate and asphalt) is different than here in SEA but since there's not much other more credible reviews then still better to just read those European reviews. Unfortunately yes, most of the time Yokohama models do not come out as good as expected in any of those reviews, except the AD08R.

For smaller 15' sizes, I would probably recommend as below in ranking order:
PS3
F1D5
RE003 or V12E2 (this one I'm not entirely sure which one better yet. I suspect the RE003 would be better in the dry while V12E2 slightly better in the wet but having said that, based on some reviews the V12E2 can be a bit tricky too in the wet. I'm considering to try these 2 along with S1 Evo 2 and of course PS4 in the future for replacement of my CSC5).

If 16' then similar to the above with the addition of PS4 at the top, maybe also CPC6 in the mix later.

PS3 15" price still ok , 16" not really cheap

F1D5 i think goodyear malaysia give up on this , not many store carry them cos the price might be same with PS3 for 15"

RE003 the good thing is dry grip , wet grip and life span really thing that let down this tire , plus the price 2xx for 15" not cheap

V12E2 (this one I'm not entirely sure which one better yet. I suspect the RE003 would be better in the dry while V12E2 slightly better in the wet but having said that, based on some reviews the V12E2 can be a bit tricky too in the wet.

v12e2 15" less than rm200 , is the cheapest among the list , feedback are positive for the price. not the best tire but u can u get 18" in 3xx? v12evo2 can with these performance offered

thats y we compare the performance and price as well , currently my store will recommend PS3 , V701 for 15" UHP
the tire review compare v701 with f1a3 , csc6 really not a fair comparison cos they on different league

It's a pity if GY MY gave up on the F1D5 coz it is a good tire. It should be slightly cheaper than PS3 in 15' which I think is still fair enough because it is also the closest tire that can compete head to head with PS3 as an all rounder well balanced UHP tire with pretty good lifetime too. I have used this tire before until totally destroyed and I was also fully satisfied with it, no regrets.

Yes I know the RE003 would not last long.

Good to hear if the V12 Evo 2 is also decent, seems good value for money. Do you also carry the S1 Evo 2 for 17' up?

Hmm in that Autobild test, they also compared it against other supposedly just mid range tires like Michelin Primacy and BS Turanza and yet still the V701 cannot beat them too which is rather disappointing since the V701 carry the Advan name and positioned as already UHP tire. Btw it was compared with the new CPC6, not yet CSC6 coz CSC6 is not available below 19'. CPC6 is designed as UHP and replacement for the CSC5 & CPC5 together in 1 model, trying to combine the best qualities of both, so it should be fair comparison with the V701 too.

Btw from that test, the other interesting one is the new Falken Azenis FK510, should also be a good value for money. Just haven't seen or hear anyone sells it in MY yet.

Bro,
Since u have tested v701, and compare to V12Evo2, which is better for dry and wet conditions?

I am looking at size 225/45/R17. Thks.

Having seen the video, I've cornered faster than that without my Fleva's screeching. Few factors will determine it.
1. Tire pressure (kept mine front at 33, rear at 31psi)
2. Tire size (mine is 195/55/15)
3. Vehicle (Vehicle dynamics) -Honda Jazz GK
4. Road surface

Coming from a Jazz GK vehicle, perhaps the dynamics of the suspension allows the Jazz to corner better without stretching the tire to its limit. Having owned (wife's car) Jazz GE, GD & GK since the year 2003 till now, the Jazz really is an exceptional handling car, having driven it up down Genting & Cameron on many occasions. Hence why I've supported my wife's decision to only go for Jazz (she loves it for the size and flexibility of it). All this while, only ever had Yokohama's on it (besides stock tires), ranging from 2 sets of C-Drive, 1 set of C-Drive II, 2 sets of S-Drives, a set Neova and current Fleva.

After many months, I've grown accustomed to it's character, having driven over 8,000 kms on it. The cornering confidence have increased since I first had it. Still awesome in rain and no surprise twitches when in need of sudden lane changes, at low or higher speed.

For it's price factor, I'd now say it's a great tire without sacrificing comfort.

Since its the loong holidays, I took my scoobie to genting yesterday. Had an enjoyable ride. Took every corners with ease and uphill task was a breeze. Only thing is that 1 corner, my V701s were screeching. First time it happened. Had PS3, RE003, RE050A before but they never screech. Perhaps I was driving a little too fast? Anyway, need time to evaluate. Of course, price wins hands down as I'm on 18s.
