We're robbed of a good fight when MM crashed. But yeah as expected MV would win and VR again a good comeback after struggling much during practices. JL nightmare continues. If he cnontinues to struggle like this, he would end up worse than VR when in Duc period.
JL does seem to be doing worse than when VR was there despite promising early tests. VR was stuck behind Cal for too long I think. He probably be fighting with MV if he got past Cal when MV did.
Hmm I doubt so, coz after he passed Cal, he still could not catch up. The fact that it took him so long behind Cal also shows he's not as fast as MV yet. Yes, probably when VR retires and if Zarco still performs well then Yamaha might promote Zarco. He did pretty good also yesterday.
Because he was there too long his tyres are basically gone. If he passed, he may have a chance. But good job to Cal too.
Hmm but following in bike races should not be as detrimental to the tires like following in car races because aero plays a much less important role. And they did not fight back and forth also like VR vs MM in Sepang. Anyway good to see VR is still very joyful even though not winning yet. Looks like he realized how much in deep shit he was in both practice sessions, that to be able to get 2nd is already a huge achievement. However if MM stays on, he might not get 2nd.
This is true. I was surprised to see him so happy. It makes senses though. He barely made it out Q1.

Tyre compound/carcass a bit different this year, some riders think they have difficulty to adapt. Last year's tyre supposed to come to Argentina but didn't make it in time.
That's my worry, he and his team don't seem to have found the real root cause and solution yet. MV has proven the bike is a winner, so up to VR to make it work for him also.
well, the M1 is regarded as among the best bike in motogp, highly adaptable even for newcomers. zarco & vinales just proved it.
that's why i think VR problem is maybe not the bike 100%.
VR admitted the 2016 bike is easier to ride hence Zarco and Folger did well in testing, VR preferred the old bike but to move forward, both riders have to use the 2017 bike.
But he came good when reaching the top class but yeah I suppose it was lucky timing also that he got the Duc probably at its most competitive relative to the other bikes.
