QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 9 2018, 05:37 PM) Ya must be the new Michelin tires that gave Yamaha some boost in performance. I hope this continues so Yamaha boys can return to fight for wins again. We need them to be able to fight with Honda & Duc for next year or else championship will get boring again. Since new tyres gave Yamaha more grip and solved their problem, how come Honda and Ducati not benefited from it? It was strange MM and Dovi didn't open up the gap to Yamaha. I thought all riders will gets benefit, the already fast MM and Dovi will feel more confidence with more grip and pushed faster..

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 20 2018, 10:26 PM) So factory Yamaha back to midfield! Good lap by Zarco though. Good that Dovi is on pole, hopefully he can win. Zarco's showing competitive on qualifying meaning factory Yamaha will be competitive in race, Rossi can do magic on race. If Zarco's off front role on qualifying then Yamaha will struggle on race.

QUOTE(RalphRatedR @ Oct 21 2018, 01:53 PM) Gutted for dovi.... ducati has the best bike but they wish they have alien-level rider like stoner/marquez. Suzuki once again putting good show.... Rookies title just got more interesting.... it'll go all the way to the final race (PS: Marquez is too good). This year Italian Red with Shell are the fastest machines in MotoGP and F1, but both conceded championship due to human mistakes and errors. Next year they may be the dominant force again after regroup.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 28 2018, 01:52 PM) Finally congrats to Yamaha to ending the rut! Good race by MV despite another poor start from the grid. But this comes with a note coz there's no MM to challenge, otherwise I still doubt they can win it. In a way Yamaha may need to thank Zarco for whacking MM's rear! Yamaha back to form! Next year Vinales will dominate starting with Qatar race, just like what he did last year before Yamaha starting to struggle..

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 28 2018, 02:17 PM) I will never be so confident if there's still MM racing! Quote: "Despite only a single win this year, the consistent efforts of Vinales and Rossi mean Movistar Yamaha is now just 16-points from Repsol Honda in the fight for the team's title." This year with problematic class B Yamaha performance, Vinales is able to be fast in Britain GP and won in Australia, Yamaha team mounting serious challenge to Honda team which obviously has inferior bike only MM talent to manage wins consistently. With further working on the engine and electronics improvement, I see no reason why Vinales can't dominate next year which we've witnessed last year before their team dropping the ball midway

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 29 2018, 10:37 AM) I don't think Honda has inferior bike because Crutchlow was often quite competitive as well (except that he often crashed as he used to!). At least they have superior traction acceleration than the Yamaha. MV needs to sort out his race start though, plus his early race pace. VR has done better in general in those aspects. Where's Dani Pedrosa lar? He's been not in podium for quite sometime, I think that speaks how hard to ride that bike is.

QUOTE(8sg9ft @ Oct 29 2018, 02:35 PM) If it is so hard to ride, then that makes MM look even better for getting the absolute maximum out of it to win the championship once again. Sooner MM will cracks and can't take it anymore like the Stoner, just saying~~~

QUOTE(8sg9ft @ Oct 30 2018, 09:33 AM) At least there are some encouraging signs in the past 2 races for HS. Before that he was struggling to even get points for several races. Yamaha back to form every Yamaha riders performing well. Zarco was on course to podium before that crash, he admitted he's targeting for win tho...

Yay, Yamaha is back. Now it's Yamaha versus Ducati. MM far behind no answer to counter them. Haha. Too bad MM already wrap up championship during Yamaha suffering period.

When I saw MM's rear tyre crazy wear, I thought he wouldn't able to maintain that pace and Rossi would've win it, damn...

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Nov 4 2018, 02:04 PM) the way Rossi ride has been getting complacent, like he does not have motivation to keep the leading pace. even if he didn't crash just now, it's inevitable MM will definitely overtake him. What?! Rossi maintained low 2:01 and high 2:00 throughout, he was so consistent Yes, MM did quite a numbered of high 2:00, but his rear tyre already wore out so without the fall, I don't think MM able to overtake Rossi or winning..

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Nov 4 2018, 05:54 PM) pov, being complacent is more of a consequence than his choice. most rider will breakaway when got opportunities, especially when you are leading the pace with significant seconds gap. at one point, the gap is big enough when MM was busy contesting with zarco. then if you follow the race lap by lap, MM is inching closer and closer every lap, which mean VR pace was dropping. maybe VR has it's own problems, technical (losing grips, saving tyres) or anything. if MM and VR place is switched, pretty sure MM gonna leave the gap even farther and ride alone at the front as early as possible, like he always does. This season with the tyre dropping, no way MM gonna runaway without conserving his tyre. Already so many races MM stick with the leading group and performed overtaking when the race closing up. MM has to conserve his tyre.

MM said those Yammys were extremely fast on acceleration and have amazing grip. Bring the game on next season Yamaha warriors!

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Nov 18 2018, 09:57 AM) That's why MM is the champ and will probably replace VR as the GOAT, still able to qualify 4th just less than 2/10ths down immediately after dislocating a shoulder! The real surprise is Vinales taking pole! Next year the real threat from Yamaha, hihi.

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Nov 18 2018, 05:11 PM) personally for me VR is already in twilight of his career. it’s like he is not pushing anymore in each race. but saying this will get me shoot down by the yellow army.. It's true so Vinales will be the main person holding the flag for Yamaha. Vinales on pole & race win is good news for Yamaha.

More falls, surgery, and age may be ending racer's career. As MM getting older the injuries recovery will be harder and longer, unless he's going to Yamaha which lesser prone to those highside.

As usual and expected Vinales dominated the first day test when given better engine. He is on course for domination form next season.
