Hi guys,
I am currently with Digi, no plans to port out. I am considering whether to buy upfront ip7+ or subscribe a 2 yr contract with Digi. I have read a lot of comments saying that it is better just to buy the phone.

So RM4,299 + (RM80 x 24) = RM6,219 no contract, 10G data, unlimited calls

Digi's plan although expensive, is offering higher data quota (14G + 5G) through pre order.

My question is, will that entice ppl to go with their contract?

Thanks
*
from my opinion, we dont know what wil happen if MCMC enforce telco to reduce the cost of data/call plan.

maybe there will be a better plan coming out in near future. so you can freely switch to any plan. (like what had happened to Maxis this year, all telco came out with a better plan out of sudden)

I am spotted for Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus, I have no choice to pre-order the Digi 148 plan. It is too expensive to me since I never use an expensive plan with more than RM100/mth.

I am just considering, if I wait for Digi to release more cheaper plan then how about the Jet Black 7 Plus stock availability?

I guess the RM984 advance payment which listed in Digi page is included in the RM148. Which mean if divided by 24 months is RM41. I just treat this RM41 as my iPhone part installment because now I just need to pay RM2,800+ instead of RM3,800+.

The actual monthly charges is RM107 + RM41 is advance payment so = RM148 in total. Then RM156.90 after GST.

no such thing as lower plan and low phone price. if low plan, the phone price will be near RRP. mightself just buy it outright then.

i strongly suggest everyone not sign up with telco to get iphone7,
because 2 years contract is bloody long long long period..

we can't just evaluate the value of the plan based current package in the market,
because with the price war & competition started by Umobile, Webe & follow by other telco.
data price will be getting cheaper & cheaper & cheaper in coming 2 years.
The value of the 2 years contract package that we tied up definitely will become worth 50% only from the monthly fee we paid after 1 year.

better just purchase upfront from Machines, Switch, MacStudio since price difference not so huge,
and we have the freedom to changing telco package in future..
moreover if next year really come out iphone8 (instead of iphone7s) with huge improvement then we still can upgrade since iphone resell value not too bad.

dont get con by the telco... now a day telco they so concern on customer retention,
that's y all 2 years contract..
i'm sure they "pakat" together already, it's impossible so coincident all 2 years contract..

that's good advice and I second that. All telcos must have got together and pulled this 'mafia' stunt! 24 months!

and getting from the shops mentioned - another PIA as any defect immediately it's a refurbished return

best to buy Apple from online store
