Hi MR_alien,
1. 10.30am arrival time
2. Ok can. Maybe we will just eat anywhere around tanjung lipat then
3. Thanks for the tips. Ok,I think I'll just rent for 2 days then
*
1. if u arrive 10.30AM, i don't think your planned itinerary for 1st day is doable
once u have landed, u have to spare time crossing immigration thn spare more time collecting the car(this is even assuming your flight is on time)
by the time you're ready to drive out of the airport is prolly 12 noon already
u can swing by tuaran by tuaran mee but once u reach kundasang, it should be later evening already

not enough time for "Poring Hotspring, Kundasang War Memorial, Desa Cattle Farm"...prolly can only choose 1

2. nothing much to eat in tanjung lipat actually...unless u just settle for the food court there which is not bad...because it's the ex-food court back in tanjung aru beach(moved here)

1. Arrived 15mins earlier than expected actually. Then no long queue at immigration maybe because its weekdays.
Got a new saga at the airport. It seems that they don't rent for 2 days only. Need to rent all 5 days but they are running a promotion now. Got new saga for RM400 for all 5 days.

Drove to Kundasang straight. Quite an easy drive, it's actually easier than genting or Cameron Highlands. Reached Kinabalu pines Hotel at 2pm,dropped by tamparuli for tamparuli mee goreng

2. Yeah, food court is fine. Thanks MR_alien.

One more question, any new year celebration spot at KK Town?

do not ever go fatt kee
overpriced, not fresh, portion getting smaller..aimed at tourist
and they started to give u more fried fish pieces and not fresh fish pieces

once, they're caught by diner having maggots inside their fish pieces
their fish are very unfresh because to they stock alot of it due to aiming at tourist business

not sure what's your definition of over priced. for the same bowl that i had probably cost much more in KL. sweat.gif

fried or fresh fish is by your request la. on the contrary their fish is quite fresh due to high turnover rate as many tourists there.

my definition of overpriced is of all the restaurant that sells fresh fish noodle in sabah, they're the most expensive ones
almost double the pricing of the other restaurant

even if u request, they won't give u all fresh fish...they're gonna slot in some fried one
and their fish is not fresh due to they have to stock up alot of fish due to the many customers they got
some of them, they just fry it and put it into the freezer

as for taste wise, they tasted the worst among all...u can ask any sabahan..they will tell u the same answer laugh.gif

u come sabah 1 day, i'll take u to the restaurant i go now....u will directly say fatt kee is scamming u all along laugh.gif
the difference is that distinct

i don't go there for a long time already
the last time i ate there, i'm very disappointed at the taste..not worth the price at all

try go to "kwong fish noodle"
cheaper, way bigger portion, way better fish
here, there are no tourist...all locals and u need to queue eventhough all locals

u even have 4 soup options to choose from compared to fatt kee where u don't have a choice
every bowl is cooked fresh rather than from the 1 big bowl they cooked

the moment they started the new branch in suria indicate it's "the end" for them
because most business in sabah, they wanna big money but they can't do quality control
fatt kee is 1 of them....targeting tourist business but failed to do quality control

i've seen way too many eateries that want to expand due to wanna make alot of money and failed at the end
restaurant beaufort in sabah is 1 of them

Hello,
May I Suggest a few adjustment to your ittenary so it will be smooth.
if you arrive early at kota kinabalu international Airport, you may get car and drove directly to kundasang.
attraction you may have during driving to kundasang
1. rumah terbalik
2. jambatan tamparuli
3. kinabalu park
4. Pekan Nabalu Town

for second day, ittenary should be like this
early morning 8.30 -9.00 am go to desa dairy farm, as the mountain is clear in the morning,
Then after that straight to Hot spring
2. go late lunch at Sabah Tea
3. Maroli tagal fish

then driving back to Kota kinabalu city,* leave early around 4 PM as will need about 2-3 hours to arrive kk from hot spring

Third Day
1. Island Hoping, Get 3 island package + BBQ or Lunch
then after came back from island can go to Check out
1.the Masjid Terapung/Masjid likas near the Tanjung lipat
2. menara tun mustapha
3. Signal hill observatory
4. Tanjung Aru Beach (best for sunset)
5. can dinner at dataran Todak (seafood) or Kampung Nelayan (got bonus : see Traditional Dancing Performance)

Fourth Day
Morning (can go any near Kota kinabalu City : like mari-mari cultural village, Atkinson Tower, UMS Marin and aquarium
Shopping time (evening)
1. filipino market
2. jewerly market at sinsuran
3. imago
4. can go to Tamu Gaya street on early morning (Sunday only)

Thanks for your reply.

Rent a car is not the first option because driving is not my second nature especially unfamiliar places, my first time at Sabah.

I am looking for Kundasang local tour package or transport package for 3 persons.

I could manage site seeing at KK myself with either public transportation or taxi or grab at KK but for Kundasang better if can book or organise earlier.

u have to rent a car to get to anywhere
renting a local tour to kundasang will not be cheap at all
just open waze, the road is very staightforward

and there is no public transport in kk, u need to use grab only..taxi is not reliable

for package, u may refer to klook if they offer any
