Planning a week+ family trip to KK in early Dec school holiday

Haven't to KK for many years, previously are just short business trip, this time family gonna tag along, 2A+2K

So gonna rent a car, probably throughout the whole 1 week, either Saga or Bezza
Stay in KK will be using Airbnb

Kundasang should stay one night there right? not recommend for day trip from KK?

Also planning to try out white water rafting there, seems got 2 choices, Padas River (class III-IV rapid) or the milder class I-II rapid Kiulu river, much cheaper as well if self drive there.  Anyone tried either one of those, how's it compared to the Ayung river in Bali?

Also planning for island hopping + snorkeling while in KK, most info just pointing to go Jesselton Pier to look for package, and buy from there, anyone got additional info to share?  I need to estimate some budget for that

And seafood! colleague brought me to a local seafood restaurant, which is pretty cheap and yummy compared to those tourist slaughterhouse in city center, problem is that colleague is no longer around, and I can't remember where the place is! :x
I only vividly remember it's either somewhere in Damai, or somewhere near the 2nd roundabout after you use the coastal road to floating mosque.  I remember it's an open space, not shoplot, not nearing any seaside, it has a colorful neon arch, dunno the name, as I go there makan only

Guys. I found a car rental company. Rm80 per day for saga in weekday. It is recommended for me to pay deposit now or I can get a better deal at the airport?

Good condition. When I ordered old.model of saga (blm). They gave a the latest saga when they know o want to go to kundasang. Also without extra charges

kundasang is a kampung, no event there
if no hotspring, maybe can visit the rabbit farm
quite a few place u can visit in kundasang
but if u wanna skip hotspring and upside down house
thn u can surely do daytrip to kundasang already since not much u need to visit

start by doing desa farm 1st thn go rabbit farm thn go buy the chicken wing at kundasang(next to intan restaurant & cafe)the only place with smoke
thn u can start going down already
kundasang have market but don't ask me when is it because i don't go up there everyday
on the way down can swing by sinalau bakas(if u can eat pork)

but DO NOT go up there during public holiday...jam stuck

How to say 'no need' locally? tidak? example: 'mau plastik bag'? 'tidak.'?

tidak payah is fine
endah payah is local
but if u don't have local slang, just stay with tidak payah
