it might be way steeper than genting but it is driveableyes the road leading to milk farm is bad but even a viva can do it..go slow, it's not a rally race
even 4WD will slow there, the bump is really high

Hi guys, still planning to have a 3 days 2 nights vacation. Is Kota Kinabalu worth it for such a short trip? Travel along with my wife and a 2 years old toddler. What was the cheapest flight fare to reach KK. I searched for 21 - 23 September, Rm348 return fare /pax from JB to KK, consider okay?
Just a very rough itinerary since still in dilemma wanna go KK or not. BTW, this will be my first time going to KK. Renting a Viva/Myvi better or use GRAB better? Day 1 (Friday) 7.20am - Depart from JB 9.40am- Landed at KK 11am - Early check in at Hotel (Suggest to stay somewhere near Waterfront with Rm200-300 per night) 12noon - Lunch at gaya street 1.30pm - Wandering around the city (Gaya street, Suria Sabah) 5pm - kota kinabalu city mosque (Friday, will this mosque close for prayer?) 6.30pm - Dinner (Philippines Night Market seafood & Wandering around after that) Day 2 (Saturday) 7am - Breakfast at gaya street 8.30am - Jesselton point (all the counters provide the same service for island hopping? Same price?) Or Sutera Harbour ? 9 am - Island hopping (Sapi & Manukan island. Both island got place for wash up after done snorkeling for day trip guest?) 5pm - Dinner (Sunset and City Dinner Cruise from Klook, worth it?) Day 3 (Sunday) 7am - Breakfast at gaya street then to airport. P/S: I wish to go Kundasang just to have a look at the Mt. Kinabalu, snap a photo! But, not sure my itinerary above have extra time to slot it or not. I dont want to do Park trip or Night trip for fireflies to avoid mosquitor bite on my toddler. Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Domestic Golden Lounge, Kota Kinabalu International Airport
Recently I was flying from Kuching to Labuan and had to transit for a few hours at Kota Kinabalu. The price difference for the Economy Class and Business Class ticket for my BKI-LBU flight on MAS Wings was only RM 20 at the time of my booking so I immediately booked the Business Class ticket without much hesitation. DSC00816 by zstan, on FlickrIf you have taken MAS Wings you would know that there is almost no difference between Economy and Business Class on board the plane. However, by buying Business class does give you a free access to the Malaysia Airlines Domestic Golden Lounge, which costs way more than RM 20 if you used Enrich Miles for an entry. DSC00818 by zstan, on FlickrThe lounge is located at the far end of the Kota Kinabalu Airport. Since this is actually my first time entering an airport lounge, it looks pretty decent as a whole. Food and drinks selection wise was limited but sufficient for a domestic lounge offering. No alcoholic drinks though. I particularly liked the roasted chicken wings which was marinated well. DSC00819 by zstan, on FlickrA minor complaint would be the electrical outlet ports seem to be located pretty far from the table. So if your cable is short, you may struggle to charge your appliances. DSC00833 by zstan, on FlickrThere is also a shower section in the lounge toilet for guests to freshen themselves up. Towels and toiletries are actually provided. Slightly impressed with this. DSC00828 by zstan, on FlickrOverall this lounge is nice if you are flying Business class, but definitely not worth it if you have to use Enrich Miles to redeem a free entry. |

since my blog is constantly under attack, i decided to close the blog entirely
now i will post my blog here in travel & living instead on the 8th of sept, i decided to drive from tuaran to tenom for breakfast and further drive to sipitang thn come back to kk as usual i will swing by the tenom market for their signature breakfast which are dry stirred noodle/mee hoon soup with their signature egg roll(chun ken) and pork meatball all are hand made which is so many people will travel so far just to buy a few back and they run out quite fast if you're not early, so i suggest u reach here no later than 7AM, best is 6.30AM after b'fast, i continue my drive to yit foh coffee factory where they have sell many kind of coffee, all of which are home grown they have also expanded and renovated their place to have home stay which one can stay here overnight if they wish to the "home stay" is behind this sign board ![]() after yit foh, i continue drive to sipitang which takes 1.5 hours from tenom the 1st half of the stretch, the road is beautiful....the other half of the stretch, stay slow because they road condition aren't good at all some of which u have to completely stop and cross slowly when you reach sipitang, you would see alot of stalls selling fruit..all kinds of fruit, it's basically fruit heaven(some of which are indigenous to sabah) you can call it durian heaven as well if it is in season because it's sold everywhere and it's cheaper compared to city area ![]() Afterward, i made my way to the Sipitang Esplande which is by the sea..this place should be beautiful when it is sunset time ![]() ![]() and you would see people fishing for prawn(i presume) at the esplanade ![]() and how could you come to Sipitang without trying their satay, it's litterally everywhere all the food court stalls in Sipitang are literally just selling satay the few good ones like siga-siga unfortunately aren't open that early..they only open starting noon which is when i was leaving but other stall are fine ![]() i found out that their satay isn't that special, it's that peanut gravy that they gave u that is special the usual gravy elsewhere, u can still taste the peanut in bits but in sipitang, the peanut in the gravy is super fine...u can taste the peanut flavour but you won't feel the peanut |
