For me, no hard and fast rule in investing.

Investing should be stress free and fun! Life is short.

If you make money, good for you lor. What is IRR? What is ROI? What low NAV or high NAV? smile.gif
*
hhehe laugh.gif

IMHO, if want all "those stress", do direct stocks or derivatives more worthwhile for the time & effort
"trading" mutual funds.. a bit waste of effort & time lor since it's generally opaque (ie fund holding what at specific point in time).

If like that my IRR >10% lor whistling.gif

Buat apa nak tipu sendiri? Past failure is part of your history, self-denial won't do u much benefit.

That is why I have both IRR and rolling 12-months returns to keep track my investment performance.

ahem - akauntan
need 1 more check/track to keep in check reality heheh tongue.gif
tri-angulate ma rclxs0.gif

a. running IRR (gives since dawn of time)
VS
b. rolling 12-months (gives latest)
VS
c. running (median or 50th percentile, lower 10th percentiles, higher 90th percentiles) %pa leh?
thus, can compare consistency, this run how good/bad & whether to zoom into what did/didn't do ma

<from an** retentive fler> to each his own notworthy.gif

Actually already exist. ETF which function like UT. Fees only cost 0.xx%. But downside is all transactions (the good ETFs) are carried out in USD.

But I do want to see what he got too.
*
er.. U do know KLSE has ETFs listed too right? in MYR / RM

I know. But they are they performing when you compare with those US based ETFs?
*
U should know better to be more specific.

KLSE listed ETFs are ETFs on what VS which US listed ETFs
AND timelines?
U are generalizing until everything becomes grey
