Hi... I read from first page that paypal without credit card can use debit card

Debit card is our atm card?

So does it means we can use paypal as long we link the paypal with our bank account?

Any drawbacks of using paypal?

yes can use with Debit card like CIMB Debit card.

when buying or send payment use Debit card. bank account is linked so you can transfer fund out from PayPal.

PayPal usually charge some fees when you make transaction.

Hi guys,
I'm a college student, and like many do not have a lot of funds. I have been planning for months to sell on eBay to make money but after seeing NUMEROUS people online saying that they have been scammed by Paypal & eBay I have been quite worried and tensed. The scam involves buyers who abuse the seller protection 'Item not as described' case system, where the seller sends the right item to the buyer and then the buyer swaps it with something else, claiming that the item is defective/broken or completely different from what the listing advertised.

Paypal then 'forces' the seller to accept a return even if the listing has stated that returns are not accepted. And once the seller receives the wrong item, from what I have heard from numerous negative feedback, Paypal for the majority of the time favors the buyer over the seller, even if evidence was given and the buyer was the fraudster ! WHAT !?

Another scam involves the item not recieved scam where the buyer claims they have never received the parcel if the item does not have proof of delivery. Does Pos malaysia have any Proof of delivery system set up if I send overseas? I remember using flexipack but it only traced until Malaysia border.

After hearing this I have been thinking for MONTHS whether or not to sell on eBay or accept Paypal at all. But if I choose not to use eBay I believe I would be missing out a HUGE market.I may be able to sell on Facebook groups but if an international customers comes over and says he wants to pay by Paypal because there's buyer protection, and I refuse, I believe many people would not want to buy my items as they aren't protected by any buyer protection.People have also said that these fraudulent buyers usually target higher valuable items, especially trendy tech gadgets, until Paypal blocks them permanently.

My question is:
How do you guys deal with these fraudulent buyers, especially with "not as described" scams ? And what courier service is relatively affordable that provides Proof of delivery to avoid the "item not received" Scam ?

I would really appreciate your help, thank you !

yea eBay usually side with the buyer if they provide sufficient proof, though i think they will investigate the Item NAD case before allowing refund. if the buyer suspected of cheating the system many times, would likely get blacklisted too on eBay too.

so i guess it would be best to not sell anything that you can't afford to lose money over.

not sure Pos Malaysia tracking got extend to destination country or not, it may depend on which country. maybe try asking easyparcel.my if their partnered couriers got full tracking. but yea require proof of delivery would protect yourself in case of anything.

too bad we don't have something like GSP because it's easy for sellers in the US to ship worldwide, they only need to ship to US collection centre and if item damaged through shipping, both buyer and seller is protected.

PayPal is safer for the buyer because they can escalate to a claim if don't receive their item from seller, this is what the transaction fee for PayPal is for, so that buyer have some sort of protection. i would not recommend buying something internationally without using some buyer protection like PayPal.
