QUOTE(Thalmes @ Jul 13 2009, 12:49 PM) Gotta be careful of fraud and scam << Same thing I guess . I personally think paypal is safe, but having cc/dc is not safe. Especially website like paypal and others online store that store the database of their users details including cc details. I feel it's actually safer with public bank visa electron debit card as we need to top up the card ourselves. If we lose it or the details are hacked, they only can spend what left in the card instead of cc which they can spend as much as they can below the limit. But paypal is pretty safe if its Privacy . Just that when you're buying , You have to be careful. |

QUOTE(Thalmes @ Jul 13 2009, 04:35 PM) not if you add passwords to your Credit Card . Haha , Even if they got it ... They will be bumped with passwords in order to proceed . cc can add password? how? then each time use when shopping+restaurants also need to key in password?Added on July 13, 2009, 5:38 pm QUOTE(Merrinette @ Jul 13 2009, 05:13 PM) Grats Maybe he went to cybercafe, used some 'bad computer' that steal his personal logins?I heard from my friend th at, we have to change the password after some time because last tim buy, somebody used his paypal acc to buy stuff Yea, last time, they only need our 16 digits of cc number to carding the cc in order to use the money, nowadays, mostly online services/store need vcc(the 3 codes behind) but i also heard that as long as they get the 16 numbers, vcc can be cracked. QUOTE(Merrinette @ Jul 14 2009, 10:03 AM) Lol i will but that particular person is unlucky. My goodness. My dear..... Adui.... Don't tell me you did what the email asked you to. For your information, Maybank does not send emails/sms. You see it says proceed now at www.maybank2u.com.my <-- actually if u just move your mouse to the link without clicking it, you can see the real address at the bottom of your window. Picture like below.because i only left 80+ in my account now Added on July 14, 2009, 10:35 ambtw.. i do think it's real.. cuz the email sounds like this.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « You know when you login through their link, they will get your login & password. And then you applied for tac number, they can get your tac number. >.< and use it to transfer money. You are lucky that now, maybank only allowed tac usage during the same login. so they won't be able to use the tac anyhow. please do scan your pc. Start --> Run --> type cmd --> then on the pop up, type netstat -an See if your pc got connected to any weird connection or not. Change ur password from a clean computer. Better change every password including paypal.... If you suspect your pc got weird thing, go to LYN Computer forum for help. It is very2 bad to click any link in emails. Don't ever click any link from emails/msn/chat programs. You can install trojan & keylogger in your pc. All your passwords would be known. See, maybank's warning, Maybank does not send out any e-mail or SMS requesting customers to provide personal banking ID or PIN or credit card information. Please do not log in through website links contained in emails supposedly from Maybank or other institutions. Be alert or you may fall victim to a financial scam. If you suspect that you have been tricked into giving your ID and Password at a fake website, change your password immediately by directly logging in through http://www.maybank2u.com.my. QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Aug 24 2009, 10:53 AM) When you buy USD100 from someone, will you get the full amount? Or you will only get less because fund deducted as transaction fees? Transfer as services & goods, fee would be deducted from receiver, 3.4%+USD0.30 if transfer from same country, international 3.9%+USD0.30.Transfer as personal is free from Malaysia registered, and international registered PayPal I think fee would be deducted on receiver around USD0.50 or USD1, forgot. Transfer mass pay, fee normally on sender, USD1/receiver if I am not wrong but definitely cheaper than normal way. Added on August 27, 2009, 3:37 am QUOTE(qwer312 @ Aug 26 2009, 04:55 PM) anyone successfully register for new paypal account after they forced you to close yr old account due to some ridiculous reason? QUOTE(qwer312 @ Nov 1 2009, 04:07 PM) are you sure maybank debit card can add fund to paypal? So i far i only heard public bank debit card can do that without problem and some ppl got problem to add fund with maybank debit card can't add fund. what i mean is use directly. like my paypal balance is zero, then i buy sth on ebay, then i can pay terus with paypal. there is no need to add fund. since maybank debit card can withdraw directly from my maybank.http://www.malcolmwong.com/2009/07/12/link...count/#more-382 |

QUOTE(agent man in pain @ Nov 1 2009, 07:19 PM) hi everyone ~ i have a noob question here~ the reason why ur supplier charge u it's because paypal charge receiver not sender for the fee. so u only send to ur supplier the fee lor. dun use personal. When i wan to pay my supplier in oversea, he will charge me 3.9% + 0.9 usd ~ so , if i am using maybank debit card , will i be charge again 3.9% + RM2 for cross border transaction??? thx who ever can clear my doubt ~ thx |
