Wan to think of price of maintenance cannot play already le...
Electronic gear where can count like dat, it is a hobby that most of de time u can share with family and friends, at least a HT can...
I once read a Mat Salleh say everytime u watch a movie drop in a dollar(3 bucks for usle) and after 1000hrs u will have 500/-(1.5k for us) and that will be enuff to look for bulb already ... besides if u take ur family to GSC or Mega Pavillion it is gonna set u back at least 40/-(incl of parking) so this is a pretty good deal IMO.

WAH ... U all got big plans for de Dell Pj huh... I have lobang to get this at a discount but it was not in de plan at all... Not tat I am knocking it or anything but since u have to come out for half de amount already why stop there de Optoma hd70 is hovering ard 5k only and this is a proper 16:9 HT pj...
No amount of calibrating will bring out contrast issues - brightness of cos no problem le... I dunno le maybe I been in this hobby too long already and if you dont go with your heart with this kind of thing and go by wallet, in the long run Upgraditis will hit you and hit you bad and in the end you will waste more money. BTW I am not rich I work real hard(2 jobs) for my money and it boils down to priorities...

Hi,
A front pj is not a tv and even thou it can be used as one, it will not perform as well as a flat panel or crts... there are so many hassles involved ... totally dark environment ; longer start up and shut down time ; short bulb life span and not to mention de hassle of initial setup... de other displays mentioned are just plug and play...
BUT for de big screen experience ... well there is no substitute ... unless u can afford de 110inch plasma/lcd model la...
