Overall quite happy with the box. Set up Kodi and also network shares to my shared drive, all is good. Need to find more apps that are android TV and remote friendly.

Looks like a mouse enhances the user experience a lot for those non remote friendly apps.

Current real problem is the random green screen flicker that happens once a while.

Another problem is unable to run Astro on the go, sigh. Anyone, manage to run aotg successfully?

Is the Flickring green screen very prominent?  A bit of remorse from my part when I hear that because I just ordered one through lazada.  Also is the dts or dd pass through very important?

How does it compare with hypp TV box in terms of darkness? I have kodi install on hypp TV box.  Just wanted to know comparison between both unit if you have one.

Hi guys. New GT1 user reporting in.

Got this from GuyM and this is my first android box ever.

btw, I've noticed that in dark scene, the whole display including OSD will all get darker. This happens in both Kodi and VLC. I checked my tv setting and all dynamic setting is turned off. Is there any setting in GT1 that might cause this problem?

Downloading no problem, but after download it try to reboot (word 'reboot' appear )but stuck there.

My wifi router is located upstairs second floor. Couldnt be bothered to try the 5ghz band cause the signal usually for this band is quite weak to pass through wall. Most of the time downstairs prefer 2.4ghz signal, also a lot of devices nowadays has auto switching which will change it to most stable signal bands and usually it will connect to 2.4ghz band. Probably that is causing problem to my device as i couldnt play any movies but no problem with tv series. Next i will probably try to test it again upstairs where my router is located.

Yes increasing TV brightness is another option but that will cause all other source of input to become too bright and need to tune down again when using other source.

That's y I opt to tune Kodi instead.

Another workaround solution for brightness issue. What addons to play 4k movie?

is there any need to upgrade the GT1 firmware?
