I have recently purchased a second hand Macbook Air 13" Early 2014 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5 and mah eyez are killing me and I don't even have bad vision  dry.gif

I've run a search online (with great difficulty) only to find that there have been a lot of people who had experienced similar issues reading and using the interface only because the fonts are so thin and hard to read!

I'm a total n00b and am doing my best to describe my situation but I'm really hoping that a Mac God will ascend from his throne and help me configure my display settings so that I can use my Macbook for longer than 15 minutes each time (not even kidding here). The text and font and light grey on grey everything totally strains my eyes and I’ve never experienced this on any computer before.

I've attached a screenshot for a better understanding of what I'm experiencing and also included a link to an article with comments from other users (from year 2014) who went through the same ordeal.

Please please help. I am using this piece of crap for work 8 hours a day.

Additional info:
- Currently running on the latest OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6
- Resolution at 1440 x 900 (default)
