And i thought my unit was 'lucky'.. luck ran out on me.

Anyone experiencing extreme battery drop to 0%?

Already happened to me 3 times.. and its freaking annoying when u try to wake up your phone and its DEAD!

First case: somewhere around 60% direct to 0%

Just happened: around 70% to 0%

Ive been using the wireless charge dock since the 18th.. and all was well.. until.. the software update.. my battery life was not as par compared to when i first used out of box.. and now this?

Starting today im gonna try using normal charger + wired charging.. no more fast charging or wireless.. just to monitor how it goes..

Anyone experiencing this? Is this a bad battery issue or software? How to explain thos to SC where its happening sometime during the day.. how to prove to them its faulty? Any chance to get 1on 1 exchg?

just wondering... what were you doing when it happened? or was the phone just lying on the table while you were doing something else and then came back and phone dead?

Just left it on the table. No major activity on my phone. It just died and loses charge.. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

This is really worrying, considering it can just appear out of nowhere despite using it for some time. No one is safe now, honestly I rather it affects my phone too, so that I can get it changed or repaired rather than after I have more stuffs in the phone then only problem occurs. I don't feel safe leaving my phone with important data with them
*
Exactly. No point making it a 'main' phone now.. for me, day 12 was the 'lucky' day.

try this latest survey link. ya.. from pic no. 2 it just show how many ppl purchase from which store only..
issue part is overall unit .

Waah.. 6 people here already batt problem.. but only 2 of us voiced out..

Really hope we can organize something with this list.. Samsung Malaysia is really keeping mum abt this issue.. still busy promoting Note 7 on FB.. while early adopter customers suffer. Any chance bring to tribunal and blanket instruction to Samsung Mobile to replace all PO units with new batch? Its just getting plain stupid and anoying.

For the guys/gals who are still 'lucky' be careful and make your backups promptly.. u never know when the sh1t gonna hit the fan.. better be safe than sorry

drain to 0 means like in an instant ?
*
Yes bro. Even when no activity on phone, i.e. left idle on the table.. it will drop to a total 0. Need to standby charger / powerbank everywhere as it will happen randomly..

but if you recall that insane chip thing... Samsung did nothing other than to say if under warranty, they will fix it. else... no replacement, etc... which is not very good news for ppl who plan to use the phone for many years...
*
To me its a major design flaw.. all sorts of problems coming up.. new issues each time..

#glassgate
#gorillagate
#bootgate
#explosiongate
#batterygate

They can delay the new batches all they want.. but they must have a better solution for the ones affected now.. its just been 2 weeks since PO batch.. they cant just leave it to warranty.. Tha hardware is failing piece by piece.. madness.

Well i have about 42 results so far with interesting results. This is just a small sample compared to the 4000 units from SME and unknown number from telcos/senheng/courts.
[attachmentid=7436659]
[attachmentid=7436660]

7 users with bootloop issues. About 16%
[attachmentid=7436661]

and 23 users seems ok

Full results

Anyone can make this viral? post on Samsung Malaysia FB Page to get their attention? bring forth to tech blogs such as Lowyat.net, Soyacincau, theSkop, Amanz?

like u said.. this is just a small sample of LYN users.. just imagine the disaster outside..

Does downgrading to previous firmware void the warranty?

Am planning to do some experiment just to check whether my batt drop issue is fw related or plain hardware b4 sending to SC.. cant seem to let go of this lovely phone. Its a mess.. but a beautiful mess.. tongue.gif

Btw, which was the original shipped fw ya? Anyone can confirm? Found 4 types of global fw as shown below;

Thanks!

By the time waiting for Blue Coral, new flagship is out. Early next year will be new flexible phone from Samsung.. I guess I will use my S7E till then.
*
Hehe.. now having doubts of future samsung flagships..

Dont underplay the note 7.. the current note 7 is also 'flexible'.. it can become an IED and/or a rm3k paper weight with wonderful super amoled display during boot loops. How much flexibility we want more from a phone now? laugh.gif

samsung store at gardens told the official launch is 9th september, similar to what another forumer posted days ago

but now regarding the investigation, they also not sure how long might delay but he assured our batch is not affected by the battery issue and will not be included in the recall..bunch of bullshit i would say lol
*
Total BS statement. Shows they know nothing of the severity of the case.. "assured our batch is not affected by the battery issue and will not be included in the recall". Really? Joke of the year i must say.. Samsung Mobile Malaysia is really taking this easy..

I texted Samsung via fb messenger and see no reply. I think they only will take action when serious shit happens. Like Chinese say, don't see coffin also with cry one.

*
No point text them on FB.. Most big company FB pages are managed by marketing/PR companies only.. no company rep pon. They follow what they are 'contracted' to say and share. Hence the 'automated' replies to each question.

We should go picket in front of SME distribution/management office at Menara ICON Jalan Tun Razak there.. They are the ones who are calling the shots for mobile biz in Malaysia (not to mention that they have a lot of sexy OL working there drool.gif).

according to android authority.. :

"The Note 7 will be recalled worldwide. Sales have been suspended, and Samsung is working on preparing replacement units for the affected devices. The process of preparing replacements will take about two weeks, according to the company."

===

So is it battery swaps or 1 to 1 replacements? hmm.gif

are u sure?

random freeze is also caused by battery meh?
*
Exactly.

They can cover up the #bootloopgate with 'battery recall' hiding further problems to the Note 7 itself.. sneaky thumbup.gif

why not just give us another new unit ..let us keep the old one as back up( owner bear all risk)

They need the phones for the Refurbishment Plans announced a few days ago.. as the concerns are on the battery pack only.. they just need to replace and sell as refurb sets. Can cover a bit their loss IMO.
