rmn4 for me more to a downgrad..see mi4i for example..some people fallen to the "numbering" but infact mi4i was wayyyy slower than mi3 or mi4.

same goes to redmi note 4

No. Redmi Note 4 is in fact a very good phone for the price. With a very good battery life too.

You can read the review and GSMArena.

Not sure if should pull the trigger right now or wait for snapdragon version for redmi note 4. On the other hand, mi max looks pretty awesome aswell.  blush.gif

If you are currently using Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon 650) with 3GB of RAM. Then I believe you can afford to wait until next year.

But if you are using Redmi Note 3 with MediaTek Helio X10 SoC, then by all means, get yourself upgraded to the Redmi Note 4.

I don't know it support fast charging or not. But the charger is 5V, 1000mA
*
You could use the 5V 2A charger as it support that kind of charger too. I heard that MediaTek has it's own version of Quick Charge but that's about it, i don't know the details. One thing for sure is no Super Quick Charger like in my Huawei P9 Plus.

Main concern is the gps as prev chipset x10 wasn't quite good utilizing its gps.. Slow locking, inconsistent tracking.. Wonder if this new x20 has rectified and improved its gps

There are admittedly GPS issues with past generations of Mediatek SoCs.

Not now. smile.gif

Should go for 3GB instead. At least when the time comes for you to sell off the phone, its RAM size would still be considered reasonable.

Anyone getting any issues with SMS in the last couple of days? I had a hangouts update the other day and I've only just realised texts were being a bit weird ie not receiving.

I just rebooted the phone, texts are coming through now but hangouts is not associating names to some of the phone numbers despite the contacts definitely being in the phone.

Just received my phone and I'm already impressed. Build quality is really premium feel. Doesn't feel mid range at all and I'm also galaxy s7 edge user. Will try some games later.
