QUOTE(bulibulizaimon @ Aug 6 2011, 03:37 AM) Oh i just read in another thread that the newer s330 can't do that already because to comply with euro standards! Really sien la this way.. Added on August 6, 2011, 10:08 pmI tried hooking the s330 to a preamp, tried unplugging the wired remote since I can control the volum via the preamp.. but once i unplug the wire remote.. the system goes mute (i guess volume 0) This post has been edited by iv'N: Aug 6 2011, 10:08 PM |

Hey people who owns S330, I just wanna ask since the later version of S330 cannot turn the knob to standby mode, then if I'm not using the speaker, can I straight off through the wall outlet instead through the bass off/on button switch. this is cause i find it easier to off directly from the wall outlet so does this deteriorates my speakers wear//tear condition?

Yup. I also did not notice this until i bought the unit. Very troublesome to turn off the pwer outlet everytime wana switch off speaker. I guess I have to live with it anyhow.. Luckily the SQ is good |

Edifier remove the standby mode due to Europe 2010 government regulation - By 2010 regulations were in place in most developed countries restricting standby power of devices sold to one watt (and half that from 2013).standby power was largely a non-issue for users, electricity providers, manufacturers, and government regulators. In the first decade of the twenty-first century awareness of the issue grew and it became an important consideration for all parties. Up to the middle of the decade, standby power was often several watts or even tens of watts per appliance, and amounted typically to 10% of the electrical energy usage of the average household |
