It is a totally different thing. The product is savings plan 10k per annum for continuous 5 or 6 years then only can get 5.18% for your 10k FD
*
Oooh so it's a savings plan not savings account rclxub.gif
Thanks for heads up notworthy.gif

To those who've placed HL eFD, is there an option to select for interest to be credited monthly into CASA?

I thought HLB 12 months 4% was promotion rate for eFD only. Not available over the counter.

Just received.

QUOTE
Maybank FD - GIA campaign
---------------------------------------------
Start from 17/10/16

1) 6 mths- effective rate 3.90%
    1-4 mths- 3.60%
    5-6 mths- 4.50%

2) 12 mths- effective rate 4.10%
    1-6 mths- 3.60%
    7-10 mths- 4%

Effective rate for 12 months is 4.10%, 5.8% is step-up rate for final 2 months.

For the MBB GIA 12 months 4.1% campaign earlier, it mentioned:
Indicative Effective Profit Rate for 12 Months
= (3.60% + 3.60% + 3.60% + 3.60% + 3.60% + 3.60% + 4.00% + 4.00% + 4.00% + 4.00% + 5.80% + 5.80%) / 12 = 4.10%

As per current rate effective from 16 Nov to 15 Dec 2016, it is drop from 3.6% to 3.55%.. does this mean that our 12 months effective rate also drop? coz i notice my first month interest received also lower than 3.6% d... I thought they should follow the GIA campaign rate? If it is less than 4.1% for 12 months placement, I will have to withdraw and place to HLB eFD for 6 months then...
*
Both my 12 month eGIA placements on 20 Oct 2016 got exactly 3.6% interest on 20 Nov 2016.
