Is the 4.5% guaranteed by end of the term?
*
Like what you have quoted:

*All rates are indicative. Should there be an Overnight Policy Rate change, the offered rates may be revised. Not covered by PIDM and the capital is not guaranteed.

Who can guarantee?

I dont have a HL account.   If I need to get this promo tomorrow, how long does it take to open an account at the bank and can I use the eFD function immediately?  FYI, I have a CIMB bankers cheque with me which needs to be cleared as well when I open the account.   Kam sia.
*
Opening account at the branch is just the matter of within an hour.

I didn't know a CASA account is required for the eFD, since I already have one.
The requirement is to FPX from another bank into HLB, NOT deposit into HL CASA and then eFD.

I heard HLB offer 6% FD. Requirement: RM10K have to bank in for 6 years. Not sure how true is it.

that's some kind of financial planning which involves investment, I believe. I attended one of the sales guy before.

Ya, i log in to my father's HL account.
i a bit worried cos never tried before, so i ask here. Hope someone can share with me.
*
this is 'new'... sound like a 'steal' from someone else' account.
not sure if the bank has logic to prevent that.

Went on Hong Leong Connect to see how FD is done for the Tuesday 4.15% promo, and realised the FPX transfer is only applicable from participating banks, not all banks. Unfortunately, the bank in which I want to transfer from isn't on the list. Now I have to transfer again to another participating bank. HSBC is a non-participating bank.
*
yea, i did the same, too (from Citi).

Giro today will still be able to meet tomorrow (Tuesday). biggrin.gif

Yes me too.

Based on my experienced today, for those who want to placement more than 30k FD on eHLB, move your money to M2U before Tuesday, because u can only done the multiple times with FPX by using M2U. Other banks does have the 30k or 50k daily limit.
*
QUOTE(McFD2R @ Nov 22 2016, 02:14 PM)
Managed to get it done today, 6 mths @ 4.15% FPX from Maybank. However, max RM30k only. I wonder if per account only allowed 1 promo. Will try again next week to see if can do again.
*
thkhai commented maybank allows multiple of 30k thru FPX before.

Thanks
Btw I read the T&C, it stated
commences on 1 November 2016 and ends on 30 November 2016, both dates inclusive or upon reaching the relevant fund size as determined
by HLB and / or HLISB, whichever comes first (“Promotion Period”)

How can I know the fund size determined is not reached, or the quota for the promotion is not full yet?
*
before you do the final 'submit' to place the eFD via FPX transfer, you can see the interest rate.
if it's less than 4.15%, you should know what it means.

very confusing and might have hidden clause to knock you off later, any taker share review?
*
basically have to put 2 FDs of the same amount simultaneously.

the first FD - 2/4/6 months at lower rate
the second FD - 15 months at 4.28%
