With HLB 12-month online FPX FD Promo of 4% p.a. ended 31Oct16, today can see a 6-mth 4.15% online FD option available in HL Connect, minimum placement of 10K.
There is no promo info available though. |

QUOTE(uncle08 @ Nov 7 2016, 01:06 AM) Anyone dai gor can advise a bit what good about eFD?w/o paper just eStatement. Mach Hong Leong FD got 3.3%p.a. while Public Bank eFD only 3.1% p.a. Both also monthly min placement of 1k. Which one better? Or shall I really opt for Affin the highest 3.7% but any T&C? HLB currently has a November promo for eFD at 4.15% for 6 months tenure every Tuesday (4.0% any other day), you might want to check it out.I am newbie to FD. Was initially want go for OCBC360 but they need spend monthly 500 using their credit card and pay 3 biller online only entitled their 4.1% . Sucks man.... |

QUOTE(familyfirst @ Nov 7 2016, 10:36 AM) I dont have a HL account. If I need to get this promo tomorrow, how long does it take to open an account at the bank and can I use the eFD function immediately? FYI, I have a CIMB bankers cheque with me which needs to be cleared as well when I open the account. Kam sia. Opening account at the branch is just the matter of within an hour. I didn't know a CASA account is required for the eFD, since I already have one. The requirement is to FPX from another bank into HLB, NOT deposit into HL CASA and then eFD. QUOTE(McFD2R @ Nov 21 2016, 09:05 AM) Went on Hong Leong Connect to see how FD is done for the Tuesday 4.15% promo, and realised the FPX transfer is only applicable from participating banks, not all banks. Unfortunately, the bank in which I want to transfer from isn't on the list. Now I have to transfer again to another participating bank. HSBC is a non-participating bank. yea, i did the same, too (from Citi).Giro today will still be able to meet tomorrow (Tuesday). |

QUOTE(thkhai @ Nov 8 2016, 06:44 PM) Yes me too. Based on my experienced today, for those who want to placement more than 30k FD on eHLB, move your money to M2U before Tuesday, because u can only done the multiple times with FPX by using M2U. Other banks does have the 30k or 50k daily limit. QUOTE(McFD2R @ Nov 22 2016, 02:14 PM) Managed to get it done today, 6 mths @ 4.15% FPX from Maybank. However, max RM30k only. I wonder if per account only allowed 1 promo. Will try again next week to see if can do again. thkhai commented maybank allows multiple of 30k thru FPX before. |

QUOTE(juiceaddicted @ Nov 22 2016, 09:21 PM) Thanks before you do the final 'submit' to place the eFD via FPX transfer, you can see the interest rate. Btw I read the T&C, it stated commences on 1 November 2016 and ends on 30 November 2016, both dates inclusive or upon reaching the relevant fund size as determined by HLB and / or HLISB, whichever comes first (“Promotion Period”) How can I know the fund size determined is not reached, or the quota for the promotion is not full yet? if it's less than 4.15%, you should know what it means. |
