So i go to open hong leong basiac saving account but get rejected by branch saying that account require employment letter for payroll or for low income people.

they say this is their bank policy. I dun think bank can do such thing, right?

After my insist asking to check further, they said will make a call to their office to confrm and leave my phone number there.

Maybe i need to try other branch.

4.15% is for every tuesday only.

Alliance Bank confirm 50k and above can get 4% 12 mth. Can get monthly interest. Now trying to get higher than 4%. Still waiting for approval.

Anyone dai gor can advise a bit what good about eFD?w/o paper just eStatement. Mach Hong Leong FD got 3.3%p.a. while Public Bank eFD only 3.1% p.a. Both also monthly min placement of 1k. Which one better? Or shall I really opt for Affin the highest 3.7% but any T&C?
I am newbie to FD. Was initially want go for OCBC360 but they need spend monthly 500 using their credit  card  and pay 3 biller online only entitled their 4.1% . Sucks man....

I dont have a HL account.   If I need to get this promo tomorrow, how long does it take to open an account at the bank and can I use the eFD function immediately?  FYI, I have a CIMB bankers cheque with me which needs to be cleared as well when I open the account.   Kam sia.

I heard HLB offer 6% FD. Requirement: RM10K have to bank in for 6 years. Not sure how true is it.

Successful to placed a few 4.15% FD on eHLB, but only managed to place multiple times with M2U, other bank such as PBB, standard chartered, etc., were unsuccessful when second time placement. Anyone get the same problem with me here?

Went on Hong Leong Connect to see how FD is done for the Tuesday 4.15% promo, and realised the FPX transfer is only applicable from participating banks, not all banks. Unfortunately, the bank in which I want to transfer from isn't on the list. Now I have to transfer again to another participating bank. HSBC is a non-participating bank.

Based on my experienced today, for those who want to placement more than 30k FD on eHLB, move your money to M2U before Tuesday, because u can only done the multiple times with FPX by using M2U. Other banks does have the 30k or 50k daily limit.

Managed to get it done today, 6 mths @ 4.15% FPX from Maybank. However, max RM30k only. I wonder if per account only allowed 1 promo. Will try again next week to see if can do again.

Btw I read the T&C, it stated
commences on 1 November 2016 and ends on 30 November 2016, both dates inclusive or upon reaching the relevant fund size as determined
by HLB and / or HLISB, whichever comes first (“Promotion Period”)

How can I know the fund size determined is not reached, or the quota for the promotion is not full yet?

very confusing and might have hidden clause to knock you off later, any taker share review?
