QUOTE(bbgoat @ Dec 9 2016, 10:05 AM) Serious ! During placement, I got itchy hand. One of the placement I chose Islamic FD placement, that one die not receive the monthly interest. I checked, it showed "credit to principal" for interest. The Conventional FD received the monthly interest. Is yours Islamic FD placement ? QUOTE(dannyw @ Dec 9 2016, 10:17 AM) Nope. My is normal Conventional FD. Call up to find out already. The CS say, if opt for 'Credit to Principal' then won't get the monthly interest, only those who select 'Credit into account' will get interest monthly. So is this statement apply to you correctly? QUOTE(bbgoat @ Dec 9 2016, 10:55 AM) The Eligible Customers are required to nominate a CASA / CASA-i Account maintained with HLB / HLISB under the individual name of the Eligible Customers (“Nominated CASA / CASA-i”) for the purpose of crediting the interest/profit earned under this Promotion. The interest/profit earned will be credited into the Eligible Customers’ Nominated CASA / CASA-i on monthly basis I thought it should apply automatically to all hlb e-fd as I did mine by choosing the option credit to savings for conventional. I din try any islamic though |

QUOTE(familyfirst @ Dec 15 2016, 08:39 AM) I place mine thru my rm as she told me need to get approval but others reported they able to place over the counter and some weren't able to.It did mention "up to" 4.1% for 6mths and that's why it's not 100% confirm you will get 4.1%. I suggest you to ring your branch manager before you drop by if you decided to place with rhb for this promo. Promo is valid until 31/1/17 or upon reach quota |

QUOTE(gsc @ Dec 15 2016, 04:16 PM) RHB promo rate is 6 months 4.1%. Target 500 million or 31 Jan 2017 whichever comes first. Minimum placement rm50k. It is a published promo rate, no need nego. I told my rm the same thing but still insist need to get approval but anyway hopefully dont have to go thru the same hassle again in future.Update : I have talk to the BM and he also insist need to get approval but he did mention normally customer will get the rate and they just want to make sure every placement is approve by their HQ to avoid any dispute. This is what he told me This post has been edited by chrisoth80: Dec 15 2016, 06:18 PM |

QUOTE(gsc @ Dec 16 2016, 02:44 AM) There is a RHB memo on the promo rate. One for 6 months and the other 9 months. The rate for 9 months is lower than that of 6 months. On top of the memo it mentioned for internal circulation only. May be at the time that you made the deposit, the promo rate wasn't officially announced. I made my placement 2 days ago and had spoken to the BM about this yesterday. I guess maybe this particular branch wanted to play safe |

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Dec 19 2016, 08:58 PM) regarding I manage to get 4.10% from rhb last week. Someone did mention that this is a straightforward promo which I'm a bit skeptical because you are not the only one who are having the problem in getting 4.10% from this promo over the counter.RHB 6 month 4.1% 9 month 4.0% was offered with 6 month 3.8% and 9 month 3.9% and they told me that it is the latest offer when i asked them arent supposed to be RHB 6 month 4.1% 9 month 4.0% they asked me who told me about this and i told them i found it on9. then the branch manager come out and offered me 6 month 4% only.. all other member here manage to get 6 month 4.1%? ps= i remember saw somewhere that the 4.1% nd 50k and the amount i deposited also 50k. i was in a hurry so lazy argue with the manager. What I did is that my rm help me to submit my request to hq for approval few days before I make my placement. There is this term "up to" 4.10% for 6mths on this promo which mean they could offer you any rate up to max 4.10% for 6mths. I already inform both my rm and the bm that I will top up again next month and I'm being advise again to inform in advance for the pre-approval process so I do hope the quota still available next month unless there is newer promo with rate higher than 4.10% This post has been edited by chrisoth80: Dec 19 2016, 09:32 PM |
