Rooted phone will still receive OTA update via updater?

Such update won't brick the phone since bootloader is unofficially unlocked.

Second question is, how to prevent no update is notified or prompted to update via updater?

If it is via updater, how to replace since it downloads and install right away.

In order not to lose the rooting ability or get bricked if forgot, how to prevent or stop to get update notification so it remains show no update?

I follow the steps and can't fully uninstall SuperSU

So the correct step is to flash SuperSU to fully unroot?

I tried flash SuperSU and it can "full unroot" and uninstall supersu.

Then I load Pokemon it said my phone on CM13 is still rooted.

Loaded Magisk and supersu for Magisk, tried to toggle root but every time it toggle back by itself.

I performed unofficial unlock bootloader and rooted on Redmi note 3 SD variant using 8.0.1 Global Stable ROM.

I just received SMS that I have been granted the permission to unlock.

What should I do now so I can go back to previous state whereby it is locked and unroot like a new phone so I can perform unlock using official way?

Need to follow all parts or just starting from FLASHING PART will do?

Done all the things and now is clean ROM with locked status.

Applied unlock but failed at 50% which could not verify the device....

Global 8.01 stable.

It is not necessary must be china dev rom... I checked from forum that it just needs to wait at least few days to get server sync...

Some people is on DEV room and they still get this error.

If I use China DEV ROM, how to turn back to global stable?

Flash China developer rom using EDL (MiFlash) mode, sign in to Mi account then unlock.

After unlock you can flash to any other rom including global stable using MiFlash.

But seriously if you are not planning to flash other ROM don't bother to unlock as you cannot use TWRP with MIUI Global stable. It will boot loop.

I can't access the screenlock/fingerprint option in the settings. Whenever I enter that option, it just pop back to settings screen.

I've done both EDL and fastboot flash with China Stable ROM V8.0.1.0, but no luck at all. I can't even enter to fingerprint section right after the very first boot after flashing
