currently using miui8.0.2 , previously before the update when i plug the phone to the usb port on my pc, I'm able to see the phone storage in "my computer"

after the upgrade I cannot see it anymore, i tried to download the miui usb setting software but it does not load the page where I can choose the usb connection as MTP or mass storage. any ideas how to get it working?

has anyone tried stable miui 8.0.5, does it has the usb problem ?

Yours is AP set with vendor rom, which only stuck at MIUI 7.5 and won't able to detect the Updater.zip, even everytime you tap "System Update" also won't do any update.

Try flash the phone with global stable rom, any version of it is ok.
I flash it myself with the fastboot method(the so called method 3 on en.miui.com) which works for me.
Now it just behaved like the normal Malaysia ori set, it will auto detect the update and prompt for update. It already auto update to MIUI 8.0.5.0.
