Guys, I'm planning to buy Redmi Note 3 Pro 3GB/32GB for my father.
I would like to know what is the difference between buying from Xioami official site & dealers in Lowyat shop. I know that the official Xioamisite will give the original rom & cost more than those from dealers but aside from that what are the other differences ?

local dealers just check if they selling mediatek variant or pro (snapdragon).
mi malaysia only snapdragon..why not try check gemfive as other members mentioned? can get discounts.

also ap set pro, and mi malaysia is basically same hardware.. only different on warranty obviously

How about if I buy from dealers in Lowyat Plaza ?

I dont understand what is the warranty difference offered by the Gemfive & dealers in Lowyat Plaza

If original set all warranty by Mi Malaysia no matter where you bought,
If AP set is up to the local shop/dealer, you need to check with them for warranty T&C.
Gem5/Lazada is just the middle man

I purchased the RN3 from Terabyte Gadget on Gemfive, applied the 25% discount code (25SCB) and paid using Standard Chartered credit card on yesterday. The bank had acknowledged the transaction. However, the transaction is voided by Gemfive today without sending email to clarify the matter. I realised about this when I checked my account. Has anyone faced the same issue?

Camera settings also changed, you dont need to swipe left or right anymore everything is on the main screen (filters and settings). Only changes I didn't like is the drop down notification menu. Very samsungish.

You could revert to the old style notification bar by selecting not to combine them

Can only let you know in a few days haha. Just only today, day 1 using it on miui8. It can now monitor your battery temperature, usage etc like what the similar battery apps does.
