We've all these while left the price part OPTIONAL, simply because like it or not you put price or not, the thread will be so-called "BOOSTED" through other means.

In fact you'll probably get even more "BOOST" than not putting it.

We have all sorts of funny people on the forum.

The moment you put a price - it will NEVER be the right price.

You will see response like

"great price, I'm interested - PM me" <=--- so it's same thing whether you put price or not.

The next one will be.

"best price please" <=--- yes, this one is almost guaranteed to happen. What price you put there will almost always be someone posting that.

As if there's not enough.

Supposedly you're selling X good with new unit retailling at RM 700, yours is used so you put RM 600. You will now also come by .........

"your price too high, scammer!"

OK so maybe you're generous and put set it at half, RM 350.

"your price too low, scammer!"

Yes it happens, and it will still happen.

Then there are the other type of replies

"X person sell lower than you", "I got mine from X place at $$$".

So as you can see, the argument of "boost thread" is actually moot here.

You must understand that while you guys want convenience as buyer, sellers also put "PM me" because they use it as a means to filter "play play only" type of people, really serious buyers will contact them.

To me, a few clicks doesn't kill me, and it's not like I'm doing it on daily basis. Whether the price is there or not, I will still PM the person on availability of the item.

It need to be a fixed price.
If you put RM12XX, other sellers will start to put RM1XXX which defeats the purpose of having a price transparency.
If you need to change your price daily, just update it daily on your first thread.
Why so difficult?
If other sellers at Lazada and eBay can update it daily due to price fluctuations, I believe you can update it daily at LYN Garage Sales also.

u can always put the actual currency where u are at, i believe that is always constant unless there is a sale.
or u can always put a fixed exchange rate like 1usd = rm4.3, like what some taobao middlemen do, then ur RM price will also be consistent.

as for 'no intuitive' ways, well u always have the option of putting email, whatsapp, skype etc etc, rather than just 'pm me'.

btw, as for a large 'CONTACT SELLER', u can always do that urself using large bold fonts and copying the pm link under ur avatar...like this.
