QUOTE(clemong_888 @ Feb 10 2007, 07:02 AM) Noted and thanks...noticed that it's not easy to take a basic pic....lots of small corner need to take care of though The dull background was due to not having a better background to take in my house..... |

a smaller aperture might help. try to add half or one stop towards to exposure as well.nothing much u can do about the bg except buy color paper and stick it on the wall?

Two solid colored manila cardboards would do. I have one that is orange and another which is blue. Both have white on the other side, so you get 3 colors.
You can get away with the built-in flash of the Sony A100, when taken in default landscape orientation, which little shadows. Alternatively, you could take it out to the garden and zoom in at 210mm F4. |

Hi, i have yet to buy my own DSLR camera, but i did do a lot of paints in the past. So i dare not to comment on your photographs. But i think what you're doing is really good. I meant that your photos show that you're experimenting some shoots. I do think that the one where u focus on Gundam's head is the best one. Keep up the good work.. while i try to save more money on my first DSLR camera

Yeah...I'm still noob here and need different exposures to improve on my skills |

kenzio: Are you using an LCD monitor? Most of the Gundams look underexposed on my CRT (calibrated using the nVidia control panel.) Do adjust the levels so that the Gundam has more near-whites.
Cool background for the garden shot! |

kenzio, try to use fill-in flash or change your metering to centre weighted or spot , might help with the under-exposure issues.

seriously the background a bit dull..try to put at least black cardboard or something next time before shoot.
and for those gundam..it is better to do the lining even if you are lazy. it make your gundam looks much more better..and somemore yours one is PG wo.. |
