I don't think this means a free upgrade for Streamyx. I think it means there is an option for Streamyx users to upgrade if it is available in their area. That's why it says voluntary. Which also means that you will have to pay the new price of the new package. I posted in another thread that my guess is that Streamyx users will get a speed upgrade where technically possible.
Old prices were 2M = 130, 4M = 140, 8M = 160.
Promo prices ar 2M = 120, 4M = 130, 8M = 140.
If Streamyx users get double speed upgrade then
current 2M user should get 4M at same current price
current 4M user should get 8M at same current price
If the user cannot be upgraded to a higher package, I think they will remain at their current speed and get a RM10 or RM20 discount to match the promo prices.
If there is a new Unifi-10M package, chances are the price will be RM149 because that is what the old Unifi 5M (upgraded to 10M) are paying. This also is in line with the Streamyx 8M which may be at RM140 as above.
Since not all Streamyx user areas are covered by Unifi, my guess is that the 100K users mentioned who are eligible are those Streamyx users whose areas are now or will be covered by Unifi in the next few months. Plus counting those Streamyx users who haven't switched to Unifi so far even though their area already got Unifi previously.
That is not a free upgrade. That is asking you to switch to a new package voluntarily if available and paying a new price. This is just my guess.
