am wondering, how does this work out compared to streamyx?

i got offered unifi air 50mbps unlimited @ Rm99/month , my neighbour had unifi and maxis fiber but when i want to apply say no port, after few weeks of nego agent came to my house and finally got unifi,

according to my agent, unifi air depend on area and if u choose to buy but your connection is bad then tough luck 2 year contract

TM said my area will be next batch of deployment. Need to wait again. Please come faster😆

It's true, just check the coverage of Unifi mobile in Ipoh, not available in Tambun and certain part of Taman Cempaka too

After reading the faq in its entirety, it's apparent that all old users will maintain same speed without any speed upgrade.

Only change is the pricing.

Which mean , we can't apply unifi air ? what is the use of intro unifi air if cannot apply ?

What I want to know even if more coverage if its like 4G coverage/distance cause atm even 4G my area suck.

would like to share my streamyx to unifi experience.

i’ve been on 8mbps for 4-5years as my house was out of coverage(kampung house) but the housing area across the road(200m) was fully equipped with the unifi DP. so i write to skmm,lodge with tm, contact area YB etc u name it over the years and no feedback. until last month. 

i went to the same tm point(god knows how many times i went) and this time i was entertained by another staff and i repeat my story and effort. she checked and again confirmed that my unit is not in their list. but she’s trying to help, she google map my house and the nearest dp, it is suppose to be within coverage. but the problem is across the road. nonetheless she file for a confirmed subscription application.

3days later installer came by and sees the problem. he then report for TM pole installation( need 2 pole for my case) and request that i do my part to follow up. so i did. 2weeks later, pole installer did come and plant the pole and the next day, the same tm guys come and pull the fiber cable all the way into my house.

i guess i finally met the right person to make it work.

Damn I guess over 2.x km away from DSLAM means my line isn't stable. I randomly lost dsl sync. This below is new sync speed test

Did TM mention about the upload speed?

It's a f**king joke that my dl speed is 8Mbps while ul speed is 0.4Mbps.

Just upgraded this morning, friendly TM Point officer :thumbsup: , facts are:

a) my taman got fibre but ports finished.

b) my streamyx port can support up to 6Mbps but only can upgrade to 4Mbps due to 6Mbps not in official TM packages offered, what kind of excuse is this??? TM should upgrade to max possible the port can commit.

c) my upgrade from legacy RM44 60H 512K package (without modem & DECT phone) to 4Mbps not qualified for free WiFi router & DECT phone, only new customer can have them, really TM???

d) my next month bill will be pro-rated with old price until 1/Sep come new RM69, fair enough will verify next month's bill. :thumbsup:

e) speed upgrade will be effective in 24H, ok good. :thumbsup:

f) one interesting fact, now in the CS service acknowledge sheet (customer copy) there listed one additional item Difficult Customer:, lucky mine is No.
