I don't blame hendo for the defeat but Hendo meme should be like...
That awkward moment when you realize that your captain is the worst player in his position but still starts every game because he is the captain...

Most manager going for two strikers when the opponents start parking the bus, but klopp maintain the lone striker formation. He should take the blamed too.

Hope to see Ings and Grujic start against Burton tomorrow...

Thats why you should read the thread. If you read some dumb posts, everything is Hendo's fault even though Clyne and Sturridge were the one making mistakes for the goals.

Supporters these days. geez. mega_shok.gif

actually the 1st goal started from a shit pass by klavan...
of cos the pass from clyne to lala was also shit...

2nd goal... to say sturridge lost the ball is stupid as it was taken from behind... and lfc had a few of chances to stop burnley's run which obviously began at edge of their own box.
klavan failed with half assed attempt at halfway line... hendo too timid at edge of box... lovren being bystander...

basically the whole team shut off...

Henderson had a bad day at the office as did the other lads but his errors are magnified because unlike the rest, Henderson actually has to earn his way back into the team. I thought that with the new additions, Henderson would have the opportunity to establish himself in front of the back four and share playing time with Can, but he didn't do so well did he?

Incidentally, I don't think he's played in every game just because he's captain. He was in decent form before he got injured and he isn't an automatic starter. Rodgers gave him the armband, not Klopp so I reckon "the normal one" will have no qualms dropping him based on last weekend's form.

klavan performance was bad compare to his 1st match. i remember one time andre gray turn him at half field only to be saved by lovren. and nobody question mignolet? burnley had 2 shots and both went in. in all, the whole team performance was disappointing, there is no need to single a player out.

Just because of 2 shot on target, then it was GK's fault?

Mig has no chance to save those 2 shot, which were resulted from defender mistake to let opponent striker has chance of open goal/strike in front of him.

1 goal - quite a fierce strike into side/top corner, nobody block the shot, and defenders position was a mess due to Clyne misplaced pass just outside of penalty box.
2 goal - through the leg of Lovren into near bottom corner, courtesy of counter attacking after Sturridge loss the ball and bad defending by Klavan on halfway line.

Both strike were clinical, and precise.

The stat for this match didn't tell the real story.

Despite Liv has 80% possession, the team didn't play well, clueless, no penetration, no one dribbling to take on defender (the major difference with Mane's pace and power in the first match), just side pass between midfielder.
Liv has plenty of shot (be in on or off target), but none of those troubled the GK.

1st goal was actually a carbon copy of trademark goal of Liv under Klopp with pressing game in front.

let me get this straight, i dont fully blame mignolet on those 2 goals but are the goals really unstoppable? maybe i was having too much expectation but i cant help but compare mignolet and how the other top team gk will probably save at least one of them. mignolet is not at fault, i just wish he can do better

yes but not if I'm klopp.

There are weaknesses last season, it haunted us time & again till it scuppered the season. Most critics will view last season a mix disaster, given the league position (even if got into 2 finals & Klopp came in with hands tied (no say in the squad transfer since he got roped in later than from day 1)

I think most of us got bombarded by friends over the weekend results. "Why the F*Ck happen to Liverpool?? (against burnley). Everyone expected us to burn them.

Yes, less say if we don't want to endure friends jibes, but Klopp needs to drum into the players heads. its a 90 mins game. there is time but maybe perhaps players were overconfident??, "we waltz past arsenal, who is burnley attitude ??"

Hendo had a poor game, but its a team effect to win.

Maybe LFC still need a leader like "gerrard" or a "suarez" at times blush.gif

A fan complaint of klopp...😑😑😑 after Burnley's game

QUOTE
The furious fan then tore into a handful of players before finally adding: "If he has a bad season, with his team, he has to go because he's no better than Brendan Rodgers.

We finished eighth last season, we finished seventh and second under Brendan Rodgers.

We're going backwards now."

Burnley WAS a bad day for all of us. Biggest criticism shd go to Klopp. Bad tactics and too late to react. However, I'm sure Klopp and the boys will learn from this debacle.

Teams that defended deep and compact will always be our biggest problem. We need width and a central striker for these game. Don't think 4-3-3 will work. But that's for Klopp to analyses.

How we react this week will be even more crucial. A Cup game that should see fringe players given some valuable game time. Also more time to evaluate the tactics and players.

The statistics on possession flatter us and its because Burnley let us have the ball and were content to hold on to their early lead.

Like some of you, I don't think Klopp is above criticism but I do think that like any other manager, we cannot turn on them until they've had ample time to build. Let's face it, we are in reality a midtable club and no longer amongst the greats. Not achievement wise but rather, financial wise. We simply don't have the resources to match the top clubs and as big a name as Klopp is, the inability to offer any top player European football is a big drawback. It likely explains why we never signed a leftback. Who would you have signed? Hector? Coentrao? Both are fully fledged internationals who will be playing in the Champions League. Why would they leave for us? Fact is we are looking at signing the next whoever instead of the current whoever.

Back to our current state of affairs.

Klopp didn't sign anyone to compete with Moreno and I'm rather surprised that we let Flanagan go out on loan despite cover in that area of the field. To add, we also sold Brad Smith to Bournemouth. I mean Milner may be able to play there but he's not going to be happy being a permanent fixture in that position. It makes me believe that Klopp is going Moreno one last opportunity and if he fails to improve, he'll be gone by December.

His decision not to have signed a CDM despite selling Allen is another area of concern but having said that, Wee Joe was never a defensive mid. Can is able to fill in but he has an adventurous streak in him and likes getting forward. Henderson was to me, the most viable option given that Lucas is on the verge of leaving. He had a terrible game against Burnley but that position is relatively new to him and maybe he just needs some time to settle in. Can't fault him if he's being played out of position as Kenny did with him when he was fielded on the right flank. That all being said, our best option may just be Kevin Stewart. He's not flashy but he has the discipline to stay in position and he keeps his game simple meaning he makes few mistakes.

Now there's talk of us sending Sakho on loan which I find surprising. I thought that he'd be third choice behind Matip and Lovren. Is this a sign that his future at the club is over? After the doping charge, he's been sent back from the US tour and now he's being loaned out. Perhaps Klopp doesn't think he's as funny as we think he is?
