How do they identify you? Did you went into the club house? Or they stopped you at the entrance?
*
I was standing under the sun in the friggin carpark, obviously holding a phone & a power bank. Still kena chased off by the security. The security was very polite la, upfront asked if we're playing Pokemon. I said yes & he explained that he has to ask me to leave.

Probably some ill mannered players simply walk all over the hotel & the golf course. That triggered some golfers to report to the security & security is forced to take action. Because the Charmanders do spawn in the golf course itself & inside the hotel. There's 2 gyms there & several PokeStops.

For those who desperately need charmanders, my advice is to sit inside your car & come out only when the Charmander spawn nearby i.e. the hotel entrance & the golf club entrance. Then hide back inside your car until the next spawn. Use mesh or sensor, whichever floats your boat to determine its exact location. Or just dine in one of their restaurant & use it as a camp base.

Not if its steel wing.
I still believe the best dragonite killer is another bigger dragonite biggrin.gif
*
Try using Slowbro with Ice Beam, Slowbro resist Steel damage while its Ice Beam does effective damage on Dragonite. Or Gyarados with Dragon Pulse, same as well it'll resist Steel while dealing effective damage on Dragonite.

If the Dragonite has Dragon Breath, use Clefable with Moonblast instead.

however I just realise someone can still root the android and mock the GPS to still spoof.. Ooppss

There are still spoofers. Yesterday midnight I was battling gym. Noticed there's another player attacking it with me. But I'm the only one there in pitch darkness in the middle of no where.

what is the most power weapon against friendly Lapras with Ice beam ?

I used Omanyte CP1500 and won Lapras CP 1880 with Ice beam. but I sacrifice jolteon, exegutor. how come rock can sink Lapras ?
*
Ice attacks does half damage to Water Pokemons
Rock attacks does double damage to Ice Pokemon

Omastar (pretty sure not Omanyte), is a Water & Rock Pokemon. Plus it may learn Rock moves.

In a nut shell; your Omaster deals double damage to Lapras while taking half damage only.

Exeggutor is also a Grass type, which is weak to Ice moves.

I recheck it and its true. i.e. its a Omastar with  a water gun/Rock slide.

I tried jolteon and exegutor and there are not effective against lapras as compared to omastar.

and my Omastar is only a IV 62
*
Jolteon's Electrice moves are super effective against Lapras cause Lapras is a Water Pokemon. But Jolteon doesn't have resistance like Omastar has, so it'll KO faster.

Electric type pokemons are really underpowered in the game... poor pikachu/raichu  console.gif
*
Yea, tell me about it lol. Tragically Jolteon is the best electric Pokemon at the moment & it can barely even reach CP2k. The others are naturally weak eg Electrode, Magneton etc.

Electric Pokemon's main strength lies in their Speed. A stat that was omitted in Pokemon Go. So here they're basically Pokemon with lousy Attack & Def, and no strong points at all.

Really can't wait for Gen 2 to be released next year. Amphros is my only hope for an above average electric Pokemon. I really wanna zap the daylight out of Lapras & Vaporeon.

so what is the best counter against polywrath ?
*
Exeggutor, but Poliwrath CP couldn't be that high probably around CP2.2k at level 30. Just be patience, once you reach higher level, Poliwrath won't be a problem. Probably even a Jolteon can take it down.

Speaking of which... Still have not decided if its worth powering up the mons past level 30
*
Excluding the legendaries, these are the top 6 highest CP as of now;

1) Dragonite
2) Snorlax
3) Arcanine
4) Lapras
5) Exeggutor
6) Vaporeon

I included the 6th because Vaporeon is relatively easy to get while Snorlax is difficult to get & Lapras is extremely difficult to get.

Ideally those are the ones worth continuously powering up, especially those with defensive move set and IV 80% & beyond. So that you can sit comfortably in a gym for a longer time.

For my attacker team, I generally leave it hovering between CP2k to 2.3k only. No need to overkill, plus it makes leveling up gym easier. Saving my stardust for defender team only.

At this rate, whereby Dragonites plague all the gyms, we only need Clefable & Slowbro in the attacker team. My CP2k Slowbro can take down a CP2.6k Dragonite pretty well.

What slowbro moveset is needed for an attacker?

I have yet to evolve my 86% clefairies... so pray hard soon
*
Ideally would be a Slowbro with Confusion & Ice Beam la.

But I'm still very comfortable with my Water Gun & Ice Beam move set, because Water Gun has a very fast cooldown. So it's easier to dodge Dragonite's charged move with Water Gun even though Dragonite resist Water attacks. On the other hand, Dragonite takes extra damage from Ice attacks.

Clefable just need to learn Moonblast, that's all it needs. Mine decided to learn Dazzling Gleam & another one learned Psychic instead.....damn.

Clefable is good vs Dragon Breath Dragonite while Slowbro is good vs Steel Wing Dragonite.

My only pound/moonblast clefable only iv69 so kinda reluctant to invest on it
Betting to evolve ANOTHER wigglytuff instead
*
Wigglytuff should do the trick too, but Wigglytuff doesn't do as much damage as Clefable. It's lesser damage is compensated with higher HP though. Another problem is Wigglytuff won't learn Moonblast, the best it can learn is Play Rough only.

I like more damage rather than prolonged battles. So I'd take Clefable anytime over Wigglytuff laugh.gif

Or use seadra with dragon breath & dragon pulse. My 1.3 k seadra easily takes down 2.5 k dragonites (albeit needs dodging). All dragonite move sets are not super effective against seadra.

Don't forget golducks also have icebeam and can be paired with confusion or water gun also.

Also used magneton & cloysters before against dragonites. Serious killer DMg though they have even lower cps
*
You are a pro dodger ler haha.

In terms of tier (max CP);

1) Slowbro (2.5k)
2) Clefable (2.3k)
3) Golduck (2.3k)
4) Wigglytuff (2.1k)
5) Dewgong 2.1k)
6) Cloyster (2k)
7) Seadra (1.7k)

Can get a mixture of the top 4 is good enough already ler. Relatively easy to get but sadly only the bottom 3 can learn Blizzard.

Q: How do I counter those annoying 3.3K Dragonites?

Slowbro with Ice Beam or Clefable with Moonblast, depending on what type of Dragonite (Steel Wing or Dragon Breath) is it. That's the most practical counter as Lapras is just too rare.

*
You're supposed to dodge the charged moves. But it's fine, 3x CP2k Slowbro can take down 2x CP3.5k Dragonite.....damn worth it.

Yea when lag, the Move name will appear after it attacked. So best is to watch out for the yellow flash or at least recognize the animation. But animation also sometimes lag one, most reliable is the yellow flash.

*
Water Pulse & Aqua Tail is defender build. Hydro Pump is attacker build. So it's not a totally lost cause.

Ya don't know why suddenly so many mystic till not balanced anymore? When I first started playing have quite a lot of valor but now they all disappear.
*
My area; Shah Alam (sometimes explore up to Glenmarie) is heavily defended by Valors. The main high traffic areas are conquered by Instinct spoofers. But towards the lesser traffic area like the houses, the gyms are conquered & well taken care by Valors. It's been days already & some gyms been under Valor's rule for many weeks. High quality level 10 gyms, with minimum CP2.5k defender. No chance for me to park any defender in at all. Even if I managed to park my defender, it'll be sitting among the bottom 3, which will last for roughly 24 hours only.

Hey guys,

Any Valor in Putra Heights?

We're trying to take over the 5 gyms here.

It's been conquered and hogged by Mystic for toooo long.
*
How many gyms in Putra Heights? Those gyms are mainly level 10?

I observed from Summit USJ all the way to Main Place, the gyms are hogged by a group of Mystic spoofers. I took 30 minutes to burn down their level 10 gym, then they start bubble strat it back up within half hour after I burned it down.

Last time the botters who use 0.35 API auto fly tons of high level accounts' pokemon to many gyms to auto attack and auto defend the gyms. Now with the 0.39 API, the bots are dead but i really respect the spirit of the hardworking botters turn spoofers who manually fly all their accounts to gyms to claim coin currently. At least they can still provide more challenge than those one account only noob spoofer who don't know how to fight and defend with brain and have to play at midnight to take back gym. doh.gif
*
Lol have to manually spoof 😆
Yea a lot of noob cheaters just button mash to fight.

-----------

Anyone can recommend me a mon that can be effective against a high cp Snorlax? I can chew through a lot of mons (incl lapras with arcanine) but snorlax always slows me down a lot when I try to tear down lv 10 gyms
*
There's 2 types of Snorlax; Lick & Zen Headbutt type. For Lick type, use another Snorlax against it while for Zen Headbutt, use an Exeggutor against it. They don't do effective damage vs Snorlax but the enemy Snorlax will do pathetic damage on your attacker.

QUOTE(alowpogo @ Oct 17 2016, 02:45 PM)
Hi Night Heart,

There are 5 gyms in Putra Heights. 4 accessible by parking by the road side, 1 need to walk like 20meters into the park. If we are quick, we can get 4.

Usually, I will drive from one to the other. Best I've ever gotten on a quiet weekend morning is 30 coins. Held it probably for like 15 minutes.

I suspect some of the Mystic are spoofers - they're making 2 gyms level 10 and have been holding it for a few days already, always the same guys. I wanna stop the streak, but I can't contact the regular Valors in Putra Height - thus, this forum.

And yes they've been doing the bubblestrat a couple of times already. Beh tahan see their dominance - need help from Valors in Putra heights.
*
You usually take down in group or solo? Cause I took down level 10 gyms in pair. It's slightly more effective & less wasteful that way.

If I'm planning a raid in Subang area, I'll get in touch with you. During raid, I usually aim for 10 gyms.

does anyone in valor are surrounded by level 10 Mystic gyms?

Can we Instinct call a truce with Valor?
See Yellow gym don't attack same with Instict, Valor gym, leave it alone.

I'm being surrounded by Mystic level 10 gyms  rclxub.gif
*
Truce lol.....love to say yes but practically impossible.

Isn't it good? No matter where you go, can burn down the gyms. No need to worry if it's already level 10 & no space to park my defender in.

If you really wanna join an Instinct strong area, try Shah Alam central area.....lotsa yellow towers standing for days.
