hi, just want to ask coz not found satisfied answer in google, is it worth it to build rig with i5 6600K or i7 6700 pair with GTX1070?
my concern is both proc investment is about a same amount ( i5 6600K + water cooler or i7 6700 + 3rd party air cooler).

If you go for i7 6700, you can actually stick with the provided stock cooler, temperature should be well within the safe range if the airflow is good.

And you need to spend more on the mobo if you go for i5 6600K.

i5 6600K + Z170 + decent CPU cooler - estimated to be around 2.2k+

i7 6700 + H110/B150/H170 + CPU cooler - estimated to be around 1.9k (if you pick H170 and sub-RM 150 CPU cooler, will be much lower if you get B150 and stick with stock cooler)

I will go for i7 > i5 anytime, core clock isn't the only important factors in gaming right now, we've started to see some newer games to utilize and benefit from multicore enabled CPU.

how much u bought it? if compare with vx239h or se2417hg?

I buy at JB RM630. compare with vx239h, R241Y have thinner bezel. Compare with se2417hg, IPS win over TN.
But this is my opinion. when i review display unit, i prefer IPS over TN.

if can just buy all main part (CPU, RAM, Mobo, Casing,PSU, HDD/SSD, GPU) from same shop. easy for warranty claim in future and somehow easy to get help to check system malfunction if involve 2 or 3 parts. for accessory like fan, keyboard, etc can get from any shop
