Hi. I would like to ask about a build in mind.
Intel Core i3-7100 Kaby-Lake Processor Asus H110M-K Motherboard G.Skill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2133mhz WD Blue 1TB Superflower Leadex Silver 650w Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB Thermaltake Core V21
Any comments on this build? Are all the components compatible with one another? Is there any problem regarding the build? Thank you in advance.

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Feb 1 2017, 08:36 AM) i5 is highly recommended, you will see CPU bottleneck in some games if you insist to use the i3 with the RX480 which restricts the GPU from performing normally (as in full potential). What if i were to change the cpu to the red side. Maybe pairing a FX 6300 or the FX 4350 with the Asrock N68C-GS4 AM3+ Socket? Would that be better?

QUOTE(TristanX @ Feb 1 2017, 01:33 PM) Current i3 destroys FX-6350. I suggest waiting for AMD Ryzen if you wanna go red. At least their performance per clock significantly increased. May take some time for budget versions though. Intel Core i5-7400 Kaby Lake Processor Asus H110M-K 1151 Motherboard G.Skill Aegis 8GB 2133Mhz RAM WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD FSP Hexa+ 550w PSU Tecware F3 mATX Case Sapphire RX 480 4GB or Zotac GTX 1060 3GB Mini Made a few changes. What about now?

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Feb 1 2017, 04:10 PM) The pricing difference between Sapphire RX480 4GB and Zotac GTX1060 3GB is quite big, almost RM 150+, RX470 4GB is a much closer rival (in terms of pricing). I have quite a poor experience with nvidia drivers. The only reason im considering the 1060 is because of its price. Just would like tio confirm, the H110M-K can support kaby lake processors after a bios update, am i right?

QUOTE(TristanX @ Feb 1 2017, 04:32 PM) Nope. i5-7500 is 400mhz more for RM70 extra is not more expensive. Though, I'm really trying to cut costs here and there. Just wanna get the cheapest quadcore intel. Is the extra rm70 really worth it? (Mostly, in terms of gaming performance of course) This post has been edited by haqinian: Feb 1 2017, 09:04 PM

Hi guys. Got my rig last week and bought an XFX RX 480 RS XXX 8GB. It is sitting in the tecware alpha chassis. Running battlefield 1 got the gpu temp to go as high as 88 degree celcius. The fact that it's a new card, I'm starting to get worried about the card's lifespan in the long run. My friend said the thermal paste might be the culprit here. Should i be worried? What should i do?
