Hi guys, I need some advices on building a gaming rig with a suitable monitor (future proof for at least 5 years?)

Budget: RM3k to RM5k (I do not mind increasing the budget)

Purpose: Gaming purpose (Dota, Overwatch, hopefully any game in the future with high setting)

Hardwares that will be re-use: None. first pc

Monitor resolution: Not sure which one better: 1080p / 1440p

Personal preferences:
CPU - Heard that i5 would be sufficient as I do not do any video editing
GPU - nvidia gtx 1070/1080 (or is there better option? / brand suggestion)
Monitor - heard acer or benQ is quite good but no idea
Casing - Saw this nzxt s340. seem pretty affordable and good to me.
Overclock - most likely not as i have no experience.
Hopefully i can leave it on for days without shutting down (so im assuming i need a good cooling fan? )

Open to any suggestion Sorry if my post seem weird

Thanks! I have a few more question.  (really new in pc stuff) 
1) For the cooler any suggestion?
2) If i plan to upgrade to i7. Should i go for the i7 6600k version? (more future proofing?)
3) It seem that the monitor does not support g-sync? is it important to get monitor with g-sync?
4) Any other suggestion for the casing? Hoping for sleek design and sided window. (Saw reviews that the NZXT s340 paint easily scratchable)
