Hi guys, plan to upgrade my PC by adding a SSD & Ram, budget around Rm500..any idea which SSD & Ram should I get (compatibility wise)?
My current PC spec: I5 4570 Gigabyte H87-D3H Team Elite 4gb ram Zotac 950 FSP 500W 500GB & 1 TB HDD Here's what I plan to get, wonder if it's compatible with my Mobo.. 1. Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" 120GB SSD 2. Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb DDR3-1866 or should i just get the 1600 version, price not much difference... Thank you.  |

Pick the one with 1600MHz, your mobo cannot utilize 1866MHz even if you get the 1866MHz due to chipset limitation. You still can pick 1866MHz, just the mobo will downclock the speed to 1600MHz automatically, if your old 4GB RAM is running at 1333MHz, the new RAM will go down further to 1333MHz as well in most of the cases. The SSD you picked is SATA SSD, just make sure you have a free SATA slot on your mobo and you are good to go. Other cheap alternatives are Kingston UV400 & HyperX Fury & 750 EVO etc.  |
