er6n owner, is it quite common problem for er6n during mid corner and you hit a tinny bump then your bike will have mild tank slapper/wobble (re-phrase)..? and you curse and shit brick...

edit: re-phare, since all bike will shake if it hit a bumpy road surface..

er6 rider corner cecah lutut sila bagi pencerahan. ben_panced

Ya, cecah lutut riders comment please. Read it somewhere its a common issue with the stock suspension..

If it common, then I will be selective on which corner I will do a lean...

tiny bump as in yellow line?
*
not that kind. more like ripple on the road.. you know, your typical malaysia road.

QUOTE(ben_panced @ Oct 25 2016, 02:29 PM)
What tyre are you using? BT30 front and back
Wht are the rear suspension settings?
Tyre pressure?

Normally if set correctly should be ok nothing like that will happen
*
What tyre are you using?
Bridgestone T30 Evo front and back

How heavy are you?
66kg, maybe 70 with all the gears.

Wht are the rear suspension settings?
since this is ER6n, so only have the preload/sag setting based on my weight.

Tyre pressure?
F 34, R 37

Extra info:
Speed wise is very slow for that corner due to the road condition. I guess it would be around 40-50kmh.
Road condition is moist but not wet. It was raining few km away, and that area received the drizzle.

Most likely. R 37 is set for my daily commute. Might need to drop it lower for the hills.

Ada few ktards dah tengok gambar motor..jangan risau esok aku post bagi biggrin.gif

Anyway question, motor engine honda future 10w-30 boleh guna ke 10w-50?

Sebab motor tu aku nak bawak jalan jauh, ulang alik hari hari. Ada yang recommend to change engine oil 10w-50 after first service, lagi tahan utk lomg distance ride.

Ada betul kah?
*
Pakar here.

Beza dua minyak tu adalah kepekatan. Mostly affected by ambient temperatures. 10w-30 nipis lagi dari 10w-50, so in theory crankshaft Lebih senang bergerak dalam enjin pakai 10w-30. In theory.

So 10w-50 pekat sikit, patut boleh lah protect Engine tapi economy and performance maybe Ada drop.

Controversial topics in lubricants world though. Best bet, pakai saja apa Honda recommend.

Hmm...yeah okay noted thumbup.gif

Tapi Honda recommend 10w-30 SJ JASO MA

SJ JASO MA tu apa?
*
Itu adalah dia punya specification yang dia patuhi.

API SJ - American Petroleum institute punya spec.
JASO MA - Japanese Automotive Standards Organisation Punya spec.

Yang hujung dia tu, SJ or MA adalah Dia punya pec version. Macam iPhone 3, 4, 5, 6 begitu.

So, kalau pergi beli minyak enjin, cari lah spec tu di botol dia.

Myself I'm using a 10w-40 on my er6n. Synthetic blend (what the public wrongly refer to as semi synthetic and the marketing guys keep on using that term)

it is not semi?? knn tokey bengkel aku pergi cakap semi syn  mad.gif . so actually synthetic blend tu apa? compare to semi and full, synthetic blend at which area?
*
In general they are the same thing. Only few of us in the industry feel it shouldnt be call semi synthetic.

I sum it like this.
- Mineral
- Semi synthetic or synthetic blend.
- Synthetic.

Which one, up to your pocket, your bike requirement and your ego...

It will be something like this.

"ala.. motor tahun 80an, aku pakai mineral aje... boleh lah sampai office. murah lagi tu"

"syukur, motor ni banyak berjasa, engine smooth tak bagi hal. tu aku bagi dia enjin oil semi synthetic. itu ari aku dapat juga overtake Versys 1000 di highway.. "

"hang tau, aku punya motor tu, aku bagi masuk synthetic enjin oil.. fuh... 200kmh sekejap je. Aku pancong RSV4 sana Karak.. tak ade feel bro... "

cerita semi betul ke next service 5000km,

fully syntc 10,000km?

pencerahan k/biker.
*
Ini depend sama motor juga lah ya..

Kalau kapchai yang pakai satu liter je, aku recomend kasi lower sikit lah mileage.

Enjin oil ni dia ada addictive, so makin banyak kapasiti engine oil tu makin banyak additive dia. additive ni pandai habis.. so enjin kecil, sikit lagi additive dia... enjin besar banyak lagi lah additive dia sebab jumlah engine oil pun banyak...

Aku try explain ikut analogi simple, harap boleh lah membantu... kalau mau buka cerita, ini thread jadi thread engine oil.

Aku pakai hdeo mineral jeeeee
*
keyword dia, oil immersed clutch.

Kalau Shell Rotela HDEO boleh..

Tapi kalau typical HDEO di pasaran untuk lori tu... tak advisable lah bro. dia tak ngam sangat untuk wet clutch, dia licin sangat so clutch tak boleh cengkam... enjin masih ok lah...
