i got toyota corolla seg 1.6 and myvi (auto).

obviously toyota is a better car , more powerful, better handling, comfortable and most important the fuel consumption is about the same as myvi.
maintenance depend on the condition. generally i found that toyota's part is more "durable" compare to proton (even new car).

if u cant affort to lose money, stick to your old car and wait until the car price stable. but bare in mind, u buy cheap, u sell your car also cheap. no point to keep 2 cars unless u got somebody 12 use.
