With Windows shifting to SaaS (Software As A Service) or OSaaS (Operating System As A Service) model....
Microsoft will soon be like Apple.... where every software have to buy from Win-Store (in the case of android, buy apps from G. Play Store).... it might take sometime for people to adapt to the idea (depends on end-user and software industry's help) of getting all app from Win-Store.... The current license fee model is a legacy from previous generation.... Microsoft is slowly reducing the price of it's OS, and slowly depend income from Win-Store.... (it won't happen over night....) |
